I love this laptop, it is very light and practical. I would recommend this laptop if you are always on the go. I did have a problem with the laptop at first but Samsung changed it for me straight away.

My sister has this netbook. I use it frequently as I visit her often. Its easy to use and lightweight. Her children can handle it well too. Speed is sufficient and I like the battery life as well. Great thing to have lying around the living room or for travel.

As with Samsung products in general, the NC10 is a sleekly finished article. Fortunately, the positive characteristics of the NC10 are more than skin-deep. The unit comfortably handles everyday browsing and productivity tasks - with aplomb. Battery life is also stellar, at well over 6 overs from the standard battery. Although, a word of caution on the battery - mine failed completely after just over a year's use. In fairness though, I did put it through some fairly heavy use in that time, and the battery itself may just have been a dud unit. In any case, the replacement battery I bought over a year ago is still going strong, regularly powering my NC10 for 6+ hours at a time. Almost 3 years on from purchase, my NC10 is still going strong. So much so, in fact, that I haven't even thought of replacing it with an updated model. So all in all, a big thumbs up.

If you want a netbook, this is the one! Only down fall is that you cant change your wallpaper and no disc drive. They are literally the only things!

I've purchased a Samsung ND10 Netbook and found that using it for around 6-10 months, Its LCD get damaged i.e. its screen becomes white when you switch on your system. you can't see your desktop etc on your screen. this could be the problem with its LCD screen or may be due to damaged graphics card which is integrated into the mother board, repairing which cost more than the netbook's worth. This was the only drawback which I've found so far.

As a business owner, I've had a few laptops/netbooks. My worst was a Dell which put me off them. But then I bought a Samsung NC10 for my wife to use to surf and shop. I was really impressed with it. Decent keyboard, nice screen, long battery life, etc., for a very good price. I decided to buy one for myself for work. Then I bought another two for other staff. Now we've ditched the Dell laptop and Dell desktops and use the netbooks exclusively at work, with screens and keyboards attached via USB. They're brilliant for different networking - i.e. easy to change from wireless to wired etc. Memory and hard drives are more than adequate. Only problem is the screen cable fault which is widely reported where you can suffer "white screen" due to cable failure. We've had this on two of ours but the Samsung support is excellent - very quick collect and return service to replace the faulty cable - even when outside the 12 month manufacturer warranty. I'd certainly look for Samsung again when we come to replace them.

I've had the Samsung netbook since Xmas 2010 and it has been a revelation. The design is slick and looks nice. The keyboard is a perfect size and the screen is great.
I can do all the things I need to do such a browse the internet and answer emails. I can watch and download films from the net quick and easy. Its very portable as I can put it in my bag or the small netbook bag I own too.
The recovery tool is perfect and resets the computer to its original factory state quickly and easily.
The Battery life could be better when operating on full but I dont mind.
The speakers are not so great but I suggest anyone with this product to go and purchase the ADVENT SOUNDBAR (A0NXT09) which at 11.99 is outstanding value. This was the main reason why I which this review as many ppl pointed to the fact that the quality of the speakers was not good.
These slimline speakers fit on top of the netbook and match in colour and size perfectly. It comes as one single speaker bar but those who prefer, it also comes in a twin speaker version thou these are less powerful(AC0COSB09)
They clip onto the top of the netbook easily and require just the USB port and the size of them makes it easy to carry along with the netbook itself.

Like all netbooks the Samsung NC10 has a Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and 1GB ram. Netbooks are mainly designed for browsing the net, Thus the name "Netbook". This netbook is really stylish and has a 92% normal sized Keyboard. I have tried Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS x86 and Ubuntu Netbook edition. Out of all of them I prefer windows 7. This runs just fine, and installs just about all the drivers you need automatically. The lid has an expensive look and feel to it. I think Samsung has done well (This is a late entry to the netbook range from Samsung). I have tried a couple of games on the netbook, But its really not worth it; I got no satisfaction from playing GTA san andreas on it because it was a little laggy, But playable! But if your looking for a netbook with Laptop capability's, then this netbook is for you! Im pleased I purchased it!

The Samsunf NC10 netbook is a fantastic example of netbooks at their best. Great battery life, 85% size keyboard so it's fairly easy to type on (and i have huuuuge hands), best netbook keyboard i've seen, great size/weight so it's very portable. The only thing that lets it down are the speakers but it is a netbook and there isn't room for bigger ones, they are typical netbook speakers but that's me just being picky. Fantastic product, well worth the money, very durable! A++++++

Having owned my NC10 for approximately 6 months now, I have no real complaints.
The NC10 has a 1.6ghz processor, 1gb memory and a 160 gb hard drive. Whilst not the most powerful computer money can buy, I find it sufficient for my needs, if a little slow on occasions. It is powerful enough to run MS Office, my webdesign software, photoshop and all the other little programs that I use.
I don't play games on it so this fast processors and fancy graphics cards aren't really necessary.
The battery life is very good,, I can easily run use it for 4 hours if I turn the screen brightness right down, this includes some surfing over wireless internet connections.
The Build quality is great and the keyboard is precise and well spaced. I do find the touchpad a little on the small side and I don't like the scrolling function, as I am always resizing my screen accidentally!
The thing that in my opinion, sets the Samsung apart from its cheaper rivals is the pre-installed Samsung software. Everything you need to keep your little computer running sweetly and backed up is there for you.
It does cost a little more than most comparable computers, so would I recommend it? Well that's up to you, if money is no object go for it, otherwise I think that you can find something cheaper to do the same job.

Apparently the NC10 is born with a defective screen cable connection and/or defective graphic card: it suddenly flickers and turns blank...
Unfortunately i bought mine for traveling, thus have been unable to return it to the shop where i bought it, since I've been and will be away most of the year.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MODEL !!!
Although I've been able to seek advice online, nothing has helped so far and I've ended up with a worthless piece of electronics weighting on my luggage.

I have had my Samsung NC10 for nearly a year now and I love it. I have had a variety of laptops in the past including HP Omnibooks and Apple MacBooks. The NC10 beats them all hands down for what I want out of it.
I need a machine I can read email and the web on, and open and write office documents while I am on the road. The NC10 is more than capable of handling these activities, and regularly gives me 5 hours battery life (the best I've had was 7.5 hours on a delayed Eurostar from Brussels).
It is alos lightweight and looks pretty good - certainly better than a lot of the other netbooks on the market.
The keyboard takes a little getting used to since it is only 90% full-size, and the mouse-pad is a bit squished; but you get used to this pretty quickly.
Being a software developer I run Windows, Linux (Ubuntu) and Haiku. Ubuntu Netbook Remix works perfectly though you won't get the battery life you do under Windows. Once Haiku's wireless stack is finished I'll probably switch to that since everything else works.

I also read on other forums that NC10 and other Samsung netbooks has good quality. Thanks for doing this review on NC10. I would surely recommend this to my friends as some of them are thinking of buying a Netbook.
<br/>I love what you said on the batteries, this is very practical.

<br/>Thanks again.

Good Points: Battery life, screen, keyboard, build quality, connectivity.
Bad Points: Touchpad, glossy lid (this is a personal dislike)
The samsung NC10 Netbook is one of, if not the best netbook still available for the price. The battery life is an easy 6-7 hours on a full charge, the keyboard is a gem, it has fantastic build quality with no squeaks or rattles to annoy you, the connectivity is spot on without being excessive and the screen. Well i also have a £1600 Sony Vaio full size laptop and the screen is nowhere near as bright as the little NC10! Perfect then, well hold on it does have one bad point the touchpad is on the small side, yes it works and it works fine but i would rather if they had made it a bit bigger or defined the edges of the touchpad more. You can be moving your finger over the touchpad and sometimes you will run off the edge of it which is a little annoying but you can always plug a mouse in. And the only other thing i'll mention is the glossy lid is a magnet for fingerprints, but this is a personal dislike and many people won't be bothered by this. So perfect it's not, but it's the closest yet!

I bought this samsung nc10 netbook on the strength of other Samsung products in our household. Fed up with promised but failed functionalities from mobile phones, smartphones etc. I needed something that would deliver on all counts. Wi-Fi, broadband on the move with legible screens and functional Java, Flash etc., Contact management, 'proper' keyboard and above all - LONG battery life. Having looked at all the smaller versions, win/nux, 3 - 9" screens, midget keyboards et all, the NC10, for my purposes, has it all. 6 months on and I am still awed by it's performance! Now use it for GPS, Mobile Broadband, Wi-Fi, presentations and hot-desking - a real COMPLETE OFFICE on the move.I upped the RAM to 2Gb and got a DVD-RW, BT GPS Module, Mouse

Have had Samsung NC10 Netbook for about 4 months - Have had no problems, I still consider it to be one of the best netbooks on the market. The display is great and the keyboard is easy to use, despite being much smaller than a regular laptop keyboard. The major selling point of the NC10 is the 6-cell battery which can last for over 6 hours off a single charge when the power optimisation mode is enabled (reduces screen brightness and underclocks the atom CPU) - Another bonus is that there is not a heap of unwanted software installed by default - Altogether, a joy to use.

I love the compact size of the Samsung NC10 Netbook, it's small but perfectly formed! The large screen and 95% keyboard are great. It has a webcam as well, which is great when keeping in contact with friends. It is quick to start up and run, I love the lithium battery so it runs for up to seven hours in between charge ups. If you just want to surf the net and send emails, then this is the netbook for you. It's compact but has a 95% size keyboard so, for a touch typist like me, it is excellent. If you're pondering over the price tag, go for it. It's really worth every penny.

The Samsung NC10 Netbook has Fast startup good keyboard, long battery lifeneat package all round. Would like to of had a sim card slot rather then a dongle hanging out the side when travelling. Leather case and extra memory are good buys for it.

Before you buy your next portable computer, ask yourself a basic question...What do I need it for?
My previous laptop was a top of the range powerful fully featured laptop. I don't think I have ever used it to its full potential. If you need a to nip to the corner shop, use shoes; not he ferrari!
These netbooks can surf the web, do emails and run word/excel etc. It can run all those programs at the same time; but one at a time it is no problem.
The NC10 is a beautiful and cute machine. Mine is the blue version with faux chrome trimmings. It looks very stylish.
Its heart is the Intel Atom processor which is not speedy, but it can help the battery last upto nearly 7hours. It has 1gb ram, with can be replaced with 2gb.
Storage is a 160gb hard drive, so keeping films and music is no problem. It is good for connectivity with 3 usb slots and a sd card reader. It also has wifi and bluetooth.. No DVD drive, so think how important that s on the move. Personally, I don't need it.
The screen is a bright 10inch affair, but it resolution is a bit low. Most of the time not a problem, but some websites need a higher resolution.
The trackpad is small and of low quality, low to respond sometimes and generally unsatisfying. I would suggest a small wireless bluetooth mouse would complement this perfectly.
It comes with a small charger, but unlike my laptop I don't need to carry the charger around. Just plug in to recharge it every evening. It has made the daily burden on my shoulder much, much lighter.
In use the NC10 is very good. The keyboard is 93% of full size, and good for touch typing. Some keys are in unusal places, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
There is not much in the way of bundled software, a 90 day Mcafee is included. I downloaded and installed openoffice for free. It works very well.
Overall, I would recommend the NC10. It has many endearing qualities which certainly I think outweigh its limitations. As a travel thing, it is a good companion.

I bought my NC10 last November. Have taken it for weeks abroad including in the tropics. I have found it utterly delightful. It is one of the best purchases I have made.
