Lenovo Thinkpad X200 is a 12.1 inch widescreen ultra-light portable which doesn't come with a DVD optical drive built-in.

It is one of the most powerful ultra-portable with a high performance and a long life battery. It's actually my favorite Thinkpad to use for its responsiveness. The 64GB SSD drive is totally silent. After loading up the programs I wanted I still have room left but not alot.

The 64GB SSD is very expensive and too small if you wish to store large data files on this, I swapped out the SSD and inserted a 2.5mm 320GB SATAII 7200 RPM but this increases temperature, noise, decrease reliability as the SSD has no moving parts, silent, faster, runs cooler, better shock resistance, lower drain on battery; and upgraded to memory to 4GB. The screen font size 1280 x 800 to is harder to see with these older eyes. As the resolution increases, the font gets smaller. No built-in optical drive, but a simple work-around is attaching an external USB DVD-RW drive.

Lenovo Thinkpad X200 is a premium brand ultra-portable with it's distinctive first class comfortable keyboard and it's signature red trackpoint mouse imbedded in the middle of the keyboard. This particular model features a 12.1 inch widescreen display, 64GB SSD drive, no built-in optical drive.
