The Ladykiller by Martina Cole is truly gripping. Once you start to read it your hooked. I loved the way that throughout the story it changed from character to character to give them a chance to tell their own story. Martina Cole portrayed George Markham as a truly violent and depraved character brilliantly in this book.- Read Guest's review (66 words)

Ms Cole writes with such depth that you can almost imagine you are there, looking over the shoulder of the killer, seeing everything he sees.
This is a gripping and grizzly novel, and it is un-put-downable. Do not read it when you're alone. Try not to read it when it's dark, as it is a scary true to life book which probes into the mind of a serial killer with his 'secret smile'.
If you enjoy being shocked and reading about areas of life that are uncomfortable, then read Martina Cole. ...- Read jo1006's review (99 words)
