Having placed an order Dec 2012 of bedroom furniture worth over £7000 you would expect it to arrive on the date they give you which was March 16th 2013, after phone call, after phone call and being fobbed off, I am still waiting!!! We are now well into May. NEVER AGAIN!!!! (read more)

I ordered an iron bedstead and was given a delivery date. As the date approached I rang to make sure the bed would be arriving as my son and his family were coming to visit and I could not be without it. They said it had been delayed by six weeks. Disaster! However the Hartley Witney branch and head office have been amazing, and helpful. They are delivering me a temporary bed tomorrow and then when my bed arrives they will make the change over. I recently bought tickets to a show of Donny and Merrie Osmond for my wife's birthday through double8tickets.com . Not only was it simple and straight forward to understand their website, but have received the tickets by registered post already. I am 74, if I can do it, anybody can. I have bought several pieces of Rubens' furniture for my Bedroom over the last few years and always found the company fine in their dealings. In February of this year (2012) I was contacted by a sales person who said that there was a sale of discontinued stock and there were two of the three door Ruben wardrobes (boxed and in perfect condition) still available at half price and would I like one to match the rest of my furniture. I have bought several pieces from Glasgow's 'And So To Bed' and have always found the staff to be professional ,knowledgable and extremely helpful. Extremely bad service from the sales assistants in And So To Bed in the Glasgow store, the sales assistants (one a manager - unbelievably) were rude, unqualified, no interest in us or the products, lazy, fetching themselves coffee whilst serving us, checking their facebook accounts when they should be serving customers, frankly i would not want these idiots representing my company, the owner of And So To Bed should get rid of them both before they do damage to the company. I found this review not helpful because... This seems to be a personal attack on 2 members of staff. We have been given more specific information about the staff than a genuine problem and a list of stock issues with staff.
<br/>Also, as far as I remember, the staff do not where name badges.

My wife and me visited the store that is located near Selfridges as we were in the area. What a bad decision.

The female staff on duty that day would have been under qualified to have been selling burgers. When I visit a store that I believe has a certain calibre and tradition I do not expect pushy and down right stupid sales assistants that make you feel like all they want to do is pilfer your money welcoming me.

and our bedstead looks stunning and the mattress is fantastic!Delivery was earlier than we had been quoted!

I have just taken delivery of a bedframe and mattress from the Hartley Wintney showroom. I was quoted around 28 days delivery from the salesman whom I have to say was very knowledgeable and generous with his time. I got a call from him well within the estimated time and was given a time slot on my day of delivery. The van guys phoned to say they were held up in traffic and would be a little late . when they arrived they got straight to work and assembled the bed in no time.I am very pleased... (read more)

I visited the And so to Bed store in Birmingham yesterday and found the Sales Assistant to be very rude. There were many comments but the worst by far was when I sat on the bed and he said 'I'd rather you didn't do that'. WHAT?!? I explained that I needed to in order gather the height and therefore ease of getting in and out of it. We bought a bed and sprung base from 'And so to Bed', the design of bed is lovely. The delivery date was far longer than they told us at point of sale. We had to chase them up constantly. When we started to complain about late delivery we were told our bed had been reallocated to someone else and we had to wait for a new containr to arrive. When it arrived we still had to wait at first 6 weeks but after much complaint and threat to cancel order this became 3 weeks. The bed base is not good,... (read more)

Yes, I agree with there really bad service. I ordered my bed and mattress at the beginning of January and it didnt arrive until the end of April! I had to chase the constantly. When it was delivered it was damaged. They said that they would send out a French Polisher. Still waiting to hear from them. And I spent over £6,000 with them. Every correspondence I had with them, instead of quoting an order number or customer number, it was "Contract Number". A big reminder that you have signed a contact with them and dont have a right to cancel for bad delivery or service. AVOID THEM.... I would never, never shop with them again.

I visited the And so to Bed store at Orchard Street, in the West End of London. I purchased a leather bed. This was 'our' dream bed after our honeymon and what a disaster from start to finish it proved to be.

I went to 'And so to bed' on the kings road because i specifically wanted a bed called the versaille. I also ordered the vi-spring matress and base fron there which i could have bought from anywhere. I placed my order and even had the builders build a wall to accomodate the height of the headboard. When the bed was delivered the delivery men looked like they had been mechanics for the day. Generally And so to Bed is a great shop for ideas and, if they've got what you want in stock. My local shop said they would get back to me but didn't. We should have known better after the last time we ordered bedding & accessories from them. It took weeks longer than they suggested and did they call us? No. We had to call them at every stage.
