Two years ago i bought a used car from arnold clark in a branch in glasgow, everything was hunky dory at first, they aranged credit, sold me their autocare warranty (on finance at the interest rate available to me which would make you cry, but i was desperate) after the test drive i spotted a few things wrong with the car which the charming wee salesman told me would be rectified upon receipt of the car. when i came to pick up the car the work was not completed and i was told that i could just take the car and pop it back in at my leisure to have the work done. Brilliant, easier said than done. from then on arnold's training at his brainwashing centre/college really came in to play,no direct answers, nobody would take responsibility even the manager of the branch who marched up to me with his service manager sidekick to tell me what was what. after half an hour of arguing and realising i wasn't lying down i was asked to leave the premises because i was causing a scene in the showroom, i was asked to go to another brach that dealt with my make of car which i did and things just got worse, by the time the car was checked over by this branch my months standard warranty had expired and was informed that the faults were not covered by the autocare plan i mentioned, nothing was being done unless i paid. by this time i wanted to drive the car through the showroom window and take out as many slaters (crap menswear)suits as possible. my next two years of dealing with these clowns was mental, parts not being replaced, parts of the car being damaged while at their hands, a constant stream of lies from receptionists, everyone you want speak to on holiday or a day off, no return phone calls, people telling you something on the phone then denying they said it when you meet them face to face, vastly overpriced parts(go to eurocar parts and have a local mechanic do it, save approx 3/4 ov your money), i even had a senior technician sit in my car and deny he could hear a rattle which my eight year old son had asked me about. I could go on about arnold for another week but let me end by saying that it is the worst experience i have ever had concerning a car(that includes two serious crashes) i would urge anyone reading this to look elswhere or failing that walk. good luck. (ps don't you thing he looks lke robert the bruce's dad in braveheart)

Just received my car back from service and Mot from Arnold Clark Peugeot in Kirkcaldy. I realise not all experiences are always positive but the Peugeot staff i have always found to be very helpful. The service reception will always go and enquire if they are unsure of something to ensure that I always fully under all the work done on my car.
