Thoroughly researched with detailed sources this book exposes the 'free economy' which has exported torture, death, repression and impoverishment for the many and fabulous wealth for the few in the name of 'liberty'. The US state, the World Bank and the IMF, rather than being impartial bystanders are shown to be deeply involved in an ideological struggle to increase the profits of the few, even if that means trampling on democracy, free speech and human rights.
