    Visited the Stables View, on numerous occasions! The service, the food and the attention to detail was top rate. Glad to see Merthyr has now got a first class restaurant, staff can't do enough for you,makes you feel special! Shame they are not open for Sunday lunch,(Please can you arrange for take away cheesecake) outstanding!!!

    me and my partner went to the stables view for the 1st time and we found it most enjoyable the service was great and so was the food i recommend this plaice too anybody that wants great food and great service at a good price a truely professional plaice to eat the lamb and the cheesecakes are to die for

    it was our first time to this restaurant and i have only one word to describe it, FABULOUS. the restaurant was busy, the atmosphere was relaxed, the food was excellent.
    it makes a change to go somewhere in Merthyr Tydfil where the food hasn't been "cooked" in a microwave.
    would definetley recommend this restaurant to my friends.

    Well it was my first time to visit the stables view and i went with a big group but our personal view was that the waiters are sent back to the tables too much . they dont give you enough time to enjoy your meal because they are constantly by the table asking you do you want a drink. The meal was ok but i do think that the steak wasnt cooked w/d like i asked.
    I would not recomend this restaurant to anyone and will now stick to other places in merthyr.

    I also would of liked to have some cheese ...

    My daughter recommended this restaurant to me and on the occasion of my wife's birthday it gave us a good excuse to visit. I can honestly say that the food is absolutely first class and is served by excellent, courteous staff. The proprieters go out of their way to make frequent visits to their guests to ensure that everything is satisfactory. If you want excellent food prepared from local produce and at a reasonable price .- look no further

    lovely relaxed atmosphere, nice layout of restaurant, quality of food was excellent..I cant wait to try some of the other dishes on the menu. staff were friendly, an all round enjoyable experience. definately worth trying!!

    booked for atuesday night,surprised to see how busy.Great welcome,shown to waiting room ordered drinks and later food.All food was of avery good standard well cooked and presented. lamb superb ,service and attention very good.Would recommend avisit to stables view restaurant.Nice atmosphere would imagine it to be quite good on aweekend. Willvisit when we can.

    We went there with a group and everyone had a superb meal. The service was outstanding and we intend to go back in the near future. We have been telling everyone how wonderful Stables View restaurant was!

    All i can say is that the food is fantastic. i had a sirloin steak as my main meal and it was delicious. i can't remember the last time i had a steak as tasty. also, i shared one of their homemade chocolate cheesecakes with my wife but now wish i hadn't as i could have eaten it all myself. i have never tasted a cheesecake like it.
    overall the experience was great, i would recommend the restaurant to anyone. i definetley rate Stables View Restaurant as the best restaurant in Merthyr Tydfil. ...

    the service and food at Stables View Restaurant, Dowlais were what you would expect from a restaurant in a much higher price bracket.
    the meals range from £7.95 for a homemade vegetarian pancake up to £16.95 for a Welsh fillet steak.
    have been 3 times now for a meal and will definetley be going back.

    I have been over the Stables View restaurant a few times now and each time I've been over the quality of food has been outstanding.
    It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the service you get is set to a very high standard.
    The steak I had was so tender to cut into there was no need for a steak knife it simply melted in the mouth.
    I'm actually going back over the restaurant next Saturday with a party of 7 friends and I know we will again have a fantastic evening.
    I would strongly recommend going ...

    Stables View has excellent customer service, superb quality local produce, have visited several occasions and cannot fault the service food and atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated to high standard for your comfort and very relaxing, whenever we are out for meal or special occasion we will always return to Stables View Restaurant great night out if you enjoy good food and excellent service. One of the best if not the best Restaurants in Merthyr Tydfil.

    the best of local Welsh ingredients.
    obviously cooked by professionals.
    superb attentive service.
    and staff who are passionate about local produce and that everyone enjoys their meal and is totally relaxed.

    top quality restaurant that doesn't try to be posh but does deliver on service, ingredients and quality of the finished meal.

    I have visited the Stables View Restaurant on a number of occasions and found it a great Its nice to have such a restaurant in Merthyr. Staff are very welcoming and professional in their approach. The food is great and presented to a high standard. I have been for sunday lunch and that was great and also i have taken friends there in the evening and we were all happy. It is nice to relax on the settees after your meal because you sure will be full! Looking forward to 2 parties i have booked ...

    Fab food - warm welcome from Stables View Restaurant. Local produce. Reasonable prices and great customer service - the free bottle of wine at the end of our evening was a much appreciated surprise. overall lovely evening.

    would definitely go again. Good experience about time Merthyr and the surrounding area had a good restaurant.

    Overall food was tasty and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing and comfortable. The staff were professional.

    Would visit this establishment again as the overall experience was enjoyable. Complementary bottle of wine to go home with a nice touch.

    Stable View Restaurant is a new restaurant and my party of seven really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in this place. The staff were very good and I would definitely recommend this place in Merthyr.
