    Silent Boy by Torey L Hayden evokes the life-changing experience that occured to Hayden's student. When she first saw him he just hid under the table due to his fear. Yet, with some help of his teacher, he was able to overcome one of his fear even to the extent to go out at night. She succeeded in changing the life of this boy through her love and affection for these special students. She succeeds in replacing their brutal parents affection in order to have some source of unconditional love which is taken forgranted from other children.
