Good Points: Fast paced, exciting ending. Kept me glued to it. Classic Francis.
General comments: I loved this book! Enough horseracing to satisfy, but a great overall explanation of the English legal system. Exciting ending.

Silks is not one of Dick Francis' better stories, but trots along as an easy read quite nicely. The next book needs to be less of a pick-and-mix from previous work to be worth buying! No barrister has appeared in a Dick Francis novel before. Good triumphed as usual, but good to see more acutal racing jockey descriptions - some of the later books got well away from the racecourses.
