Cry Myself To Sleep was the first book that I read of Joe Peters's, I then got his first book Cry Silent Tears, I can't express just how unbelievable his life story is, words cannot explain how remarkable the man is and his books are going to be massive world wide, I was blown away and totally hooked, very gripping stuff he went through, both books i could not put down, the best memoirs I have read ever, and I read all of them. well done joe. keep up your hard work mate.

As a writer myself I rarely read anymore because of all the research I have to do but when I picked up Joe Peter's 'Cry Myself To Sleep'I felt compelled to read it front to back. This is a story of utter inspiration, Joe has clearly been to hell and back but finds the strength as an adult to turn the dreadful things that happened to him into a way to help others. I never post reviews or contact other authors but I felt compelled to do so with Joe and found that he is the most lovely and genuin ...

Cry Silent Tears by Joe Peters is absolutely amazing. An unbelievably sad story about a young boy, I wasn't able to put the book down once i started. I recommend this book to everyone who wants a wake up call, also for the people who think their life is so incredibly hard, when really you have it easy.

I find it strange that Joe could just " disappear" out of the system for 3 years. What about all the common childhood illnesses that would require outside help? Why are these people free, if all this happened? Isn't it vital that they be brought to justice to avoid further harm?

Hard to believe that this was going on when I myself was of the same age but our two worlds were so different in every way.

I'm not marking the story, it's horrific, it brings to life the true horrors many people suffer, i read the book about 10 week ago and i can't stop thinking of little Joe. To Joe, i wish you and your present family nothing but eternal happiness, I'm glad you eventually found happiness xxx

Everything about this book never made me want to put it down, i read the whole book in a couple of hours, it was so sad yet he came out stronger not wanting to be like the people that abused him. I recommend this to anyone especially those who think they have it bad, this story puts it all in to perspective.

I've just finished reading this book sad though it is what a remarkable young man you are. How you survived is beyond me, I've read a few books like yours none as bad as your life has been. I would like to have seen the monsters brought to justice though, but i can also understand why you haven't done that. You're happy now just live your life you deserve all the happiness in the world

I currently work within primary schools and work with abused children. Books like this make me think more and evaluate what a child is trying to tell me. I hope i listen and hopefully can help. If i can save 1 child ....... no child deserves this.

The book was amazing, a true eye opener of what does happen. But Joe came out the other side and it's an honour to have read his story and to know that he survived. I cried most of the time through the story, being a mother myself it's very hard to think a mother could be so cruel. Can't wait to read the new book, god bless Joe, x

I can't understand, if so much abuse went on especially the step father, why wouldn't he want to get revenge and get a very large prison sentance for the abuses? Why has he let them off scot free? I could not wait to come the end to see how the abuses were punished. Nothing. Very confused reader.

I have just finished Joe Peters book, Cry Silent Tears, and i could not put the book down, i cried a lot whilst reading his book and could not believe that a mother could do such things to her own son. It has opened my eyes to what really has and still does go on right under our noses. Good luck for the furure Joe, you deserve it. I can't wait to read your next book.
