    Good Points: Just the size we needed, fridge compartment accessible.Frost-free, when it worked.


    Bad Points: Since ours was delivered in May 2008, it has only worked for a total of about four weeks. The service arrangements are unhelpful, to say the least.


    General comments: We have had numerous service visits for our Whirlpool fridge freezer. The procedure is that
    1. A "service engineer" is called, and chooses a part to be replaced.
    2. We wait 10-15 days for its delivery from Italy.
    3. The part is replaced, but it soon breaks down again.
    Back to square 1.
    Actually we have had the whole fridge replaced once. The replacement lasted 21 days.
    Finally a real refrigerator engineer arrived from another company, checked the circuits and identified the parts we actually needed.
    One of these is a circuit board that has failed before in our fridge. The engineers don't carry a spare, and Whirlpool apparently do not keep it in stock in the U.K.
    This engineer provided helpful advice which meant that we know what to do when it frosts up.
    But to repair it we need the parts from Whirlpool. We are still waiting.
