    Bad Points: We experienced poor service and staff who did not seem helpful to us. It appeared that they did not understand whenever we had a problem. We were disappointed in the food - a lot of guests seemed to be ill whilst we were staying. The food looked as though it was reheated and out of tins rather than freshly prepared. The same every evening but apparently re-named differently on the menu to make you think it was different. The only entertainment was the man on the piano every night.


    General comments: I think Las Palmeras Hotel, Fuengirola, shouldn't be rated more than two star. Only giving this as location was ok. Has put me off visiting this part of Spain again. The worst holiday I've ever had due to the hotel standard. Star ratings are important to me when booking a holiday. I would never book less than four star rating because I would expect there to be things that I wouldn't be happy with if lower than this. I feel as if I have paid for a four star and got a two star with this accomodation. I choose four star for comfort, cleanliness, good food and good service. The only good thing about this hotel's service was that the cleaners kept the rooms clean - and I felt they were much friendlier than the rest of the hotel staff.

    Good position for everything. Can be noisy if your are at front of hotel on lower floor. Pool smallish, 10am start, few sun beds. Overall ok hotel, just....
