I thought the SP 250 would be a really nice, convenient combination of audio components (CD player, MP3 player, and FM radio) but its song navigation doesn't seem as user-friendly as it could be, the batteries last about 25% of what's promised, and, most importantly, it's incredibly unreliable. Due to malfunctions and poor workmanship, the *replacement* for my original SP250 is now down for the count. Aside from the fact that it's stopped working (again) and I'm sending it back to them on my dime (again) and I've had to try to deal with their customer service (again), I've only actually had a working player for about 2 months in the 8 that I've owned it. After 2 consecutive lemons, I have to conclude that the players are junk. Additionally, the service is neither personal nor timely. It's the kind of experience that will keep me away from all Rio products, even though some must be of acceptable quality. My advice: try a different brand. I wish I would've....
