“Avoid this company”

I placed an order for furniture work around £1500.00. I had no acknowledgement of my order. A week or so passed and I got a response to my email. Got a response saying they would contact me. Another week passed and the furniture arrived without any warning, just so happened my son was off school. The delivery company they use are awful and the blokes are rude. They sent the incorrect furniture. Again no response for a few days and then an email to say they would contact regarding collection. Did they? NO the same aggressive delivery driver arrived with attitude to collect. I have emailed asking when I will get a refund, I have heard nothing. Avoid this company if you have any sense, they have no contact phone number and do not answer emails. Their attitude stinks. I dont know how they survive. I can see I am going to have to fight for my refund!!!

The company have gone into liquidation. I received an email from them before Christmas regarding this but they were still taking people's money. I placed my order on 17/11 and got my refund last week. Don't bother keep ringing because nobody is at the office. A company called buyitdirect have bought them out. Hope this helps someone!

this is a terrible company ,avoid at all costs had a call from them to say they have gone into liquidation , but they still have there web site running still taking peoples money , got my money back as i paid by paypal ,but lost £20 weekend delivery money

This company went into administration on 12 December having taken mine and many other peoples money. It now looks like the Furniture 123 website is accepting orders again? How can Trading Standards etc allow this to happen? These people need to be held to account for the way they have treated customers over the past few months.

After looking on Companies House online I saw that Furniture123 were the next 'company' of furniture247 ; when one of their fraudulent companies goes bust or things are getting too hot for them they just close one company and open another, happens all the time and it appears no one can stop them; furniture247 have had numerous companies, such as pineonline--until members were jailed, that is.. and various other companies. Multi E Commerce are the ones who are a legitimate company, who of course are all the other companies too!
I've learned my lesson and will now buy nothing online unless they are known to be companies of good repute. With so much internet fraud its not worth taking the gamble, no matter How Good their websites look. Oh and Trading Standards? They really are a JOKE, think they actually give a damn? Their favourite stock answer is that there aren't enough complaints!

“They are a con and I advise to avoid using this company”

This company deserves to be taken to task by the trading standards....Avoid.....I ordered a bed on the 18 th November on a 15 day delivery. After 8 emails and no response other than an auto response telling me that I would receive a response within 48 hours to which I have not even received a response to any of my emails and there is no telephone numbe to contact them on. I have not received my bed, no communication from them and I have now taken action with my credit card. For your own sanity , do not us this company, I have never felt so strongly about a company before, They need to be shut down. Protect yourself by using a credit card ! R Haynes Sputhampton

Furniture123 are absolutely useless and they keep getting away with it. Anyone who is reading this review do not hesitate in reporting them to trading standards. They will not respond to my emails or answer the phone. They have £700 of my money and it's been over 30 days since I placed my order.

“Worst Company I have ever bought from”

Useless Never again! Inefficient Tiresome Unresponsive Reckless promises Endless unanswered phone calls and emails!!!! 123!!! All chant together -'Avoid this company at all costs.' Ordered a continental double storage bed and separate mattress in September. Was already wary of the company but this was the only company that sold that particular bed so took a risk. The bed was not delivered within the promised timescale, so having quickly tired of the polite empty promises of the call centre staff in the Philippines I obtained details of a contact in the UK. The person was helpful and as I was unsure whether I had ordererd the correct size mattress due to being confused by the website he checked and confirmed that I had not. As a goodwill gesture he offererd to waive the extra cost of the correct sized mattress and gave me details of when I could expect delivery of the items. I received the bed on 21st November -some pieces were damaged but I decided that it had taken so long to get it I would not take the risk of returning anything. The mattress is another story altogether -Joe promised I would hear from the haulage company who were to deliver the mattress and that I should receive it week commencing 26th November. That was the last I heard from them and I have yet to receive my mattress.I have now asked for a refund as I need to order a mattress from a company that will actually deliver.However, my phone calls and emails are ignored and I cannot even contact the call centre in the Philippines by telephone. Perhaps the person who I was speaking to has tired of Furniture 123 and gone to work for a more reputable company or perhaps he has been buried alive by a complaint mountain?! As I paid by credit card I know I can claim something from the credit card company -I have no idea how to do this and scarcely have the energy to find out. I am weary of the whole saga and if I had a bed I would go and lie down for a rest!

Really sorry but I don't have a number that you will get to speak to anyone on - have not spoken to anyone or received an email response since I was told my mattress would be delivererd w/c 26th November. Not sure if the company has gone into meltdown?!

“DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY”

Absolutely the worst company it has ever been my misfortune to deal with. If only I had read reviews of this bunch of crooks before I ordered from them. Essentially, my story echoes countless others you can find online; ordered on 16th Oct (item was listed as being in stock), got a call two days later to say the item was out of stock and wouldn't be available until mid-november. They took my money straight away though.... Mid november came and went but no word from Furniture 123 so I enquired again at the start of December. Got another reply saying the item was still out of stock and they would let me know when it would be back in. Deciding this was unacceptable I asked them to cancel the order and process the refund. Since then I have had no reply whatsoever from them. I have now emailed them four times to ask them to do this but no reply has been forthcoming. I would try to call them but every time I do I'm put on hold - in one instance for 2hrs 43 minutes before my phone ran out of juice. Luckily for me the company I work for pays the phone bill. The cynic in my would say that there are no operators there full stop. However, judging by the sheer volume of similar reviews its not surprising that their operators are permanently busy - they must spend every waking moment dealing with disgruntles customers. I have now given up on this bunch of half-witted, unprofessional, thieving idiots and have instructed my credit card company to peruse them under section 75 so I will get my money back. By the way - if anyone from Furniture123 reads this, good luck in trying to avoid my bank like you have avoided me - I can guarantee you they will not stop until they reclaim their money.

“Take Money Immediately, No Furniture Delivered, No...”

On the 10th November I ordered two pieces of furniture worth over £500.00 from Furniture123, the money was debited from my credit card immediately with a 28 day delivery promise. 28 days have now come and gone and no updates/emails received from them, I have emailed the company twice and had no response to my messages. I am now worried that I will be out of pocket. Only chose to spend with them because of the link through a respected cashback site (thought they would be a trustworthy company) but not sure that it matters in this case. I have since read horrific reviews about the company and hope I will get my money back. Thought I would have my furniture in time for Christmas but that isn't looking likely.... I hope they will exonerate themselves and either give me a full refund before the year ends, or deliver my furniture before Christmas, I am still hoping for a happy ending, and trying to remain positive.

I have ordered a dining table set for Christmas Day on 17/11/2012. I was told it would take 28 days when I placed my order but still waiting. I have rang numerous times and sent two emails but had no response. Each time I ring I'm put on hold and it charges you even though you are not speaking to anyone. I will never order from furniture123 again as they are ignorant and unreliable. I will be reporting them to trading standards.

Order number: 213511 Avoid this company with all your might. Don't feel tempted!!! I ordered two chest of drawers, Thorner Pine 4+2 drawer Chest and Thorner Pine 3 drawer chest. They delivered what was supposed to be the Thorner Pine 4+2 drawer Chest. When the package arrived, it looked very suspicious, old, full of old tape and the number of my order was handwritten and no receipt. I send them an email and the reply was that the Thorner Pine 4+2 drawer Chest was discontinued. I send them again another email requesting the cancellation of the whole order and requested the full refund. They did not replied and the other item was delivered. I refuse the package and send another email. And other emails after this one. Finally a very short reply was sent to me saying that it was ok and I was entitled to a refund, however no specific date was given. This saga started since 08.12.2012, we are now on 12.12.2012. I am still waiting for my refund. My emails are completely ignored, which really pisses me off. I will make a formal complaint against this company because they are robbing me. They are not going to have it easy with me. They accessed my account and took my money. Of course I gave consent for this, but in exchange they had to provide the items. This is called STEALING in broad daylight!!! I will never ever ever ever use them again!!! SHAME ON YOU furniture123

“THIEVES”

My husband and I had been searching for a headboard now for a good several months. We came across Furniture 123 and thought Yes, that's a good deal for a king size headboard. Their website said it was in stock and that it would be a next day delivery so we bought it. Our order number is 213038. A few days later my husband gets a call saying it was out of stock and that they could fulfill our order the following week so we said fine, no rush. By this time, they had taken money for the headboard - just letting you know. It has now been SEVEN weeks with no contact from them regarding our order. I found a number to call them, it was automated message telling me to contact them via their website which I have done today. If I do not receive anything back by Thursday I will be finding the correct authorities to charge them with fraud and theft and then will be contacting a watchdog company to add to their file for fake companies that steal from hard working people. Then if they refuse to give us a refund that my husband has now requested for, this will be going to court.

“Disgraceful!Never use this company!!”

I ordered a sofa from one of the workers promised the delivery on Wednesday and after excuse and excuse it was put to Saturday yet again no sofa and to makes matters worse no one answers their phone! Weeks later no sofa or refund terrible so called company!! When I placed the order they couldn't stop helping until they had the money then no one wanted to know!! It's a complete joke and advise no one to ever use this company!! Police are now involved and looks like it's happened to many people! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

“Nexted day delivery”

FURNITURE 123 Bed Headboard Order Number 213307 Placed on 04/11/20124 for next day delivery. I was told two days later that it was out of stock and there was a delay from the manufacture this was by a phone call he said it would be in stock soon and he would check. I get another call to say that there is a long delay and he would ask the Sales Team to look for a replacement. I then get an email from them saying that the sales team had found a replacement I emailed back that the replacement was not suitable and I wished to cancel the order. I get an email this time a Customer Service adviser to say the order was cancelled and I would receive a refund he had passed it to the Accounts Team. I have not heard anything since and have not received any REFUND. I have emailed FURNITURE 123 three times but have not had any reply. I contacted their Customer Service telephone number this is just a recorded message that refers you to their WEB site. I have read the reviews about this company but unfortunately that was after I ran into difficulties with FURNITURE 123 and I note that there are lots of complaints about poor customer service. FURNITURE 123 ask for a chance to put things right before customers write an adverse review they have had lots of chances but still no response. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND I would not advise anybody to use this company. If I eventually get my refund I will of course post this information on this site. 10TH December 2012 Martin Towler

“Absolutely shocking service”

I ordered an extending dining table back at the start of November due to having family over on christmas. I was contacted on the 23rd advising that the table was out of stock from the supplier and would probably arrive 30th Nov. No problem I thought as long as it comes for christmas. I have since found on there website under the 'aftersales' section that orders placed before 29th nov would be unlikely to arrive before christmas. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact them by phone but no one answers no matter how long you wait, no answer to numerous emails either. Eventually bought table the other day from another on line company and table was in stock and has already been dispatched. As I paid with paypal I have now opened a dispute to try and get my money back ( as stated on 123 website ). God knows when and if i'll get my refund! Avoid, there are plenty other reputable companies out there to choose from!

Ordered a bed head with, supposedly, delivery within 15 days. 22 days later we have no delivery date, no bed head and no reply to repeated emails. The only thing they managed to do efficiently was to take the money. Thank goodness I paid by credit card so will, at least, get my money back.

I ordered 2 items from Furniture 123 for next day delivery. One was delivered several days later, damaged. The other, 6 weeks on, has still not been delivered and they are not responding to my emails. There is no means to contact by phone. I would advise everyone to avoid this company - their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.

“Rude customer service ”

I ordered a chair using the same card/paypal I've used countless times on other sites. After a couple of days of no update I called and I was put through to an incredibly rude individual who was more interested in putting the phone down than explaining to me why my order was not processed even though the money was withdrawn from my account. His words were along the lines "it doesn't matter if I explain the situation because your order will not be processed". Avoid this disgusting company. Thankfully Ikea has a similar chair which I ordered and received promptly.
