I thought Rocknrolla was half was inbetween being a great film and being absolutely average. The depth and strength of the cast, filming and production were all very good and added a lot of class to the film. However, i thought the plot and some of the dialogue was a little too contrived. I'll not go in to detail but everyone so often I'd felt almost embarassed by some of the scenes. It's a shame because some of the writing was excellent, i just think on occasion they got a little carried away with themselves and lost all perspective on what they were trying to achieve. The plot was very typical of the genre and despite what i thought was a laboured start it soon picked up the pace and was very entertaining. I would recommend it to those who like the genre but unlike films like Snatch, it offers little else for those who aren't.Oh, it was really funny in parts too!

RocknRolla has excellent acting and script. The once-compared to Scorsese and Tarantino, for movies like Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; British talented writer and director Guy Ritchie its now back into the big screen with his new movie release Rocknrolla.
