When I first changed from IE to Chrome I was very impressed.I loved the fact you could download some really good games. That was about a year ago, now I find it won't download Hotmail and it is slow to download some info sites and getting into my bank is a nightmare. When I switch back to IE everything is perfect. I have no idea what is going on but I won't be using Chrome any more. (read more)

I installed it a couple of years ago. Initially all was fine but then GC started slowing down, and I went back to IE (which was at that stage faster). Yesterday, I succumbed to the pop up message telling me everyday that my version of IE is old and unsupported, and I downloaded GC again. I had the 'empty message/no data sent out' as soon as I started using it. I was checking some details on the www.rac.co.uk and half way through I could not access the website. I looked up some forums and it... (read more)

Chrome is a fantastic browser! It's got a nice look and feel, many apps, easy to use (Though from those moving from IE, a bit of getting used too is required at first), many websites work great and has lots of features packed in! Auto-Updating for security, sandboxing and they're just two! There's a whole range I could talk on and on about forever! Much better than IE for sure! Never moving back! (read more)

It is the fastest of the three browsers I have on my PC (the other two are Firefox and IE). It is generally very easy to use, has easy navigation and tweaking options. I like pretty much everything about it except for the fact that it doesn't always work as it should. This is probably due to issues with certain websites being incompatible with Chrome, but I find myself resorting to IE at least a couple of times a week. It is usually issues with websites not displaying correctly in Chrome or... (read more)

Chrome may have overtaken the market as the most used browser but I still tend to rate Mozilla Firefox higher. True that Chrome has plenty of features and also loads far more quickly than Firefox but the truth is that it also contains a lot of bugs and thus tends to crash more times than Firefox. Moreover I love the addons of Firefox much more than Chrome. Maybe I tend to use Firefox more than Chrome and hence the bias but Chrome too is a good browser and hence I have decided to give it a... I was thrilled at the thought of Google coming up with their own internet browser, but it was until I downloaded and installed it in my PC. I always thought Google had sort of a Midas touch, where everything they work on is an instant hit and turns to gold standard - not Chrome browser! The look is sleek and it is very easy to use, but that's not the most important thing of a web browser, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO BROWSE THE INTERNET! It gets stuck if you open web-pages with flash content, or... (read more)

Good Points
*Well layed out
*easy to book mark pages
*download files straight into a new download folder.
Bad Points
*It has trouble loading quite a few web pages
*It keep on storing browser data all time and keeps on get's slower and slower so you have to keep on clearing your browser data every few hours.
Finial thought
Chrome is still the baby of internet browsers, Firefox tends to be more reliable and stable

I'm a big fan. It's faster, less crash prone and less cluttered than Firefox. Firefox also failed to allow me to access my office network from home, iexplorer was very slow, but Google Chrome is fast and thus far problem free.
Web based mail, video streaming and downloading is faster.
One minor problem with downloading is that the program tries to be too clever, always trying to stick files in a 'downloads folder' whereas iexplorer remembers where you put the first file and puts the second...

I tried Google Chrome out as a Beta not so long ago, from using Firefox, and wasn't very impressed at first glance. I quickly switched back for its lack of customization.
However, my computer was having a few problems at one point and what I really needed was a quick browser that would open as soon as I clicked it and I didn't have to mess about with once it had opened.
Chrome was exactly what I needed. After trying a few browsers and being disappointed, I came to Chrome with low expectations...

The start up screen shows thumbnails of your favourite sites - this is really useful
Speed - it appears to be faster than firefox and radically faster than microsofts IE
Simple GUI - easy to use controls

I decided to download Google Chrome because I like most products that Google do. Performance wise I wasn't disappointed, it is very fast when searching for web pages and I like the fact they've gone along the same route as Safari with the book marks bar along the top so you've got easy access to your favorite sites and they're just a click away. Overall it's a great browser, very fast, secure and intuitive. The bad points listed in this review well probably be looked after by Google Chrome in future builds, and are totally acceptable quirks considering it's the browser's first beta relase. Once it has extension support, slightly bigger compatibility and features like a Session Manager and an Undo Close Tab function it'll be up to the level of Firefox and I'll definitely consider changing my browser of choice.
