I have heard much about Karcher products over recent years. Friends of mine wax lyrically about how much easier cleaning jobs of all types around the home become with one of these devices. Some of the jobs they describe as being made easier do strike me as being those which could quite easily be ignored in most cases. Does one necessarily need to constantly clean a concrete drive ? Nevertheless I decided to take the plunge and spent over a hundred pounds on this particular model, the... (read more)

Mine is getting on 10 years old and is only now showing signs of starting to die! it has had a very well used life, from car cleaning, decking and fence cleaning, fleet of vans at work, complete 50m sq. workshop floor (and this was using a syphon pipe from a water tub and sucking it up, which these are not meant to do!)I only see bad reports of these but this one has been great. I will be buying another one at the weekend to replace it. You have to follow the storage instructions and make... (read more)

My second Karcher 2.94 and just as unreliable as the first one which worked a coupl of times then began to overheat if used more than a couple of times. The replacement has been used twice and now broken down with burning smell from motor. Beware-if you keep your karcher jet washer in the shed they'll say that frost invalidates the warranty. Nilfisk next time who use metal rather than plastic pump. (read more)

I bought this power washers because of the name, and at first it was great. I noticed after a few uses that the pressure had dropped quite a bit and upon investigation I could see water leaking from inside the unit. I looked inside and could see water coming out of the actual pump casing!!! Then it is made of plastic but still I never expected this for the money. The pump is very powerful but the plastic casing just wasn't up to scratch. I got my money back and bought a bosch aquatak 1250... (read more)

Used three times on paths and drive ways. Just like other reviews, smelt burnt plastic. Turned of and pulled apart and the motor fan had melted off the shaft and chewed into the cowling. Going to try a fix that may work. Maybe ok for people who want to run for a few minutes at a time. Definetly no good for domestic around the house type cleaning. (read more)

I bought one of these DIY power washers, it was great at the start, then after a few uses it lost pressure. I noticed water spraying out from the inside, so I took the cover off and used it without the cover, there was water spraying everywhere. I tried to seal the plastic pump body with an industrial sealant/adhesive, but the water kept finding new places to spray out from. I gave up in the end. The pump is fairly powerful but the cheap plastic body can't cope with the pressure. My brother... (read more)

I bought mine for an annual clean of the paviors on my front drive. I used it twice - about one hours work each time. On its third use the motor expired within ten minutes smoking and reeking of of burning plastic. The guarantee had also expired. If you are my worst enemy please buy one - they are absolutely wonderful and I trust you will experience the same joy in ownership. (read more)

Don't buy a Karcher K2.94MD !
I've had it for two years and probably used it 5 times in total.
It keeps getting hot and making bad noises after a few minutes use and pi$$ed oil all over my patio.
Over priced, poorly designed plastic junk :o( (read more)

I too bought a Karcher because my father has had the same one for over 15 years with a massive amount of use with out any problems , so I thought of nothing else but to purchase a Karcher , I used it once it did the job but didnt feel of the same quality as I remmembered . I lent it to my mother-in-law to clean the fence but it started to smoke and catch on fire , she felt bad knowing it was new so she took it back to the store and they said it was her fault as you shouldn't use it for more... Purchased a K5.55, brilliant, for approximately 6 hours use (Max). Now it has lost pressue badly, won't rotate the T-Racer or Dirt Blaster. Karcher say "check for air lock" (standard 'kiss off' response). Expensive machine purchased with longevity in mind, lasted shorter time than the £24.99 machine purchased from local market (ironically 10% of the purchase price of the K5.55)
Rubbish machine, rubbish support, rubbish company. Do not buy Karcher!!! (read more)
