    Good Points: Everything!

General comments: Okay so this is the first time I went to see the mighty boosh live, but I did see the other on dvd and I have to say this one is much better! Personally I prefer getting something that you don't see on tv rather than you do if I want to see a storyline by them i'll go home and watch my dvd's thanks, I want to see some original things and it was original and generally funny, and by having banter and a storyline they tried to appeal to everyone and for me I thought they were amazing! And I don't think it could of been any better.

I went to see The Mighty Boosh Live 3 times and although they only changed a couple of small bits and pieces, i still laughed at all the jokes every time and i love the fact that it is now more music based as well as a "story". its an amazing show and i cant wait for the dvd.

Overall i absolutely loved it. theyve still got it after all these years :)

This show felt like a bit of a mess - could have done with the lads going on an adventure (or a storyline) which is what bonds together all the silliness on the TV and in the last live show. The new direction of doing lots of songs grinds a bit too - while their song-writing is strong for a comedy duo I think they should be careful of believing their own hype and trying to be rock stars. I also found the crowd to be full of irritating morons - as the Boosh get more popular and their audience fill ...

So I was a little apprehensive when I read some of the reviews on here, but, do you know what? I thought it was really good. The first half was funnier than the second, but both were excellent. I read criticism of the music at the end, but I thought it was a really good note to end on. The set and props were very professional, and many aspects of the show were great. Personally, I wanted to see less of the Crack Fox as he creeps me out, and more of Naboo (not too sure about his attitude in ...

The Boosh have missed some essential detailing and opportunities, throughout this show. I have been an enormous fan of theirs since they were on radio and for me, some of the magic had run flat... Character development, background and plot had been left in favour of headonism and rock politic. Where was Naboo gonna end up with his new-found bad-ass gangster attitude? Just how far did Howard's vision of the future go.. [careless whisper sax solo was priceless!]? Fossils' dance lesson was hilariou ...

It's an Ok show, not as good as last years and only for real Boosh fans with all the cameo's from old characters.

Most of it the banter is the best bit, not too sure about crack fox not one of my favourite characters. Vince is truley amazing and Howard is just Howard. All the characters tip up first half then the play in the 2nd half was fun as loved it. No Old Greg :( 2nd half play could of been longer. Bob Fossil very odd but funny all the same. Boosh fans it's fab. Other people you will just not have a clue watch dvd befor you go.

I went to the Plymouth show - first time I've seen the Boosh live, and I did think that the first half was very funny in places. It did get a bit 'catchphrase comedy' in places, but nevertheless, it was still very funny.

The 'serious' play in the second half I felt was in the main not very funny. The audience really seemed to zone out during it, apart from a few girls laughing at Vince's rather embarrassing 'chavese' Thai accent.

This play was the sort of thing that Howard would threaten to ...

I saw the exact same show as the comment below, Brighton on the 15th of November 2008. And yes, it was a great show. But like the other comments, for true Boosh fan's expecting anything that their last 2006 tour held, they will be more than a tad disappointed. There's no doubt that the show provided some rather humourous comments mixed with the general banter. But, as a fan of the show since the radio days (earlier times kids) I didn't feel the show had any of its classic plot line structure and ...

Look, none of the negative views on this page are correct, i saw it in Brighton 15/11/08. If you are a true dedicated Boosh fan, you will love every minute of it, if you are not-just don't even read this review, in fact just stick to watching Mr Bean, or some other equivalent. The Boosh band was epic. Much better than when they appeared on Jonathan Ross. Who cares that the first half is just characters, if you want a story, go to the globe theater and indulge in some Shakespeare. Even the mista ...

Generally the second half was more of a success; an actual storyline gave the show some structure, which i feel is more what the audience actually wanted, more similar to the tv series which in honesty is pretty much why everyone was there, although it lacked the well thought out wit of the tv series, and didn't really please crimp wise, with just a couple of old crimps which were irrelevant to the 'story'.
The ending was also a bit of a let down, with about 50 starstruck adolencent girls creat ...

I love the series and the last live show but this one wasn't great. It had funny moments (mainly in the second half). The characters were introduced and brought out one by one in the first half, this felt lazy, like it was just so people could see each character without having to bother writing them in to a script. I was expecting to be taken on a bit of a journey. Also the Boosh band for me doesn't work without the songs being part of the story, it just comes across as a bit self indulgent.Over ...

I saw the show at Wolverhampton Civic 6/11/08. The venue is relatively small, which meant everyone was close to the action. I think the boys had made a conscious effort to avoid just re-vamping the show of their last tour, and I guess they should be commended for that. From what I've seen on their 3 'TV series' DVDs, the last 'live' show was an expansion of the TV show formula, and as such worked very, very well. This show, however, was quite different. The first half of the show was a procession ...

If you go to see The Mighty Boosh Live chances are you're a Boosh fan. If you are I think you will like it!... I read a couple of reviews before I went and saw the tour in Bristol and wish I had left temptation alone. The neutral and negative reviews are slightly harsh. If you take this tour at face value it is both very funny and entertaining. It isn't the live tour of a couple of years ago, but surely thats a good thing. You go to see the Boosh for the characters, Bob Fossil and the Crack Fox ...

Personally, I like my live comedy to slap my senses around a little bit. I love Boosh, and their first live show left me starstruck, feeling full of Booshy goodness and pleasingly out of line with reality. It felt original even though built with the material of the TV and radio shows, and it was awesome.

This show was pretty bad. Lazy, self-indugent (too much rock star posturing) and obviously cobbled together, it was just terrible to watch. Younger members of the audience liked it, and all ru ...

After watching the Boosh live dvd i thought it was amazing and thought how great it would be to see them live. So went ahead and booked tickets (Ripped off on ebay mind!). Got to admit it was great to see them, but i was left waiting for a build up to a story of some sort. There wasn't one, instead it was a showcase for all the characters (No old gregg) and lots of singing and dancing then the end! I would go and see them again on a different tour in the hope that it would be better than this o ...

Small, intimate venue worked well, it's a 2 hour show so I felt that I'd got good value for money. I laughed a lot and for a comedy show that's probably a good thing... Julian Barrat dealt well with the hecklers. It segued into a rock gig at the end and they got the audience dancing. However, it felt a bit under rehearsed but couldn't work out whether the 'improvised' or 'off script' bits were actually scripted or not - they totally collapsed on a crimp and didn't know the words but I thought it ...

I saw the Mighty Boosh live show in 2006 and thoroughly enjoyed it, in comparison the 2008 show was awful. There was an almost complete lack of jokes, a format which offered no continuity and an over reliance on the cult following the Boosh have gathered over the last couple of years. They didn't seem to know how to use the various characters in an established story so instead lumped them together in a series of sub-standard songs in which the lyrics were incomprehensible due to much shouting. A ...
