The casting was perfect. The singing and dancing were brilliant, and Ray Davies was a great narrator. There was a great variety in the styles of the songs which is only to be expected from Ray Davies. Gemma Salter played Julie wonderfully. The dancing before the start of both parts 1 and 2 added to the atmosphere and made me feel like I was at the Palais, as did the bar on the stage which the audience was invited to use during the interval. The show was excellent and was over far too quickly. There were happy and sad bits in the storyline as well as some comedy but it was a 'feel good' show. The audience was dancing by the end of it.

I felt like i was in a dance hall, the charcters reminded me of my own family and the stories they told me about their experience of Saturday nights. The clothes, hair dos, were spot on. It made laugh and cry and wanted to see more, i will definitely be booking again.- Read Guest's review (55 words)

The songs and music, which are all new apart from Come Dancing, are well matched to a strong story but do not all follow the snappy witty observational quality Ray is known for. There is a delicate blend of different styles to contrast the change in feel that the passage of popular music took from late fifties to Sixties popular and the change to a Dancehall and the people. There is one set that flows into the audience and makes you feel close enough to reach out and touch the performers and be ...- Read ndtowers's review (260 words)

Come Dancing is a beautifully written script with fantastic new songs by Ray Davies plus a good strong cast. This is a sure fire hit! Audience were up on their feet dancing by the end! I laughed, cried, sang and danced all in the same evening! I will be going back to see Come Dancing again. Best bit for me was Hamilton and Julie.....( Delroy Atkinson and Gemma Salter ) the chemistry was amazing!! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Fab costumes and scenery. A real treat!- Read titania queen's review (83 words)
