    Irwin Vice Grips are the best vise-grip tool. Get an American made one now while there are a few around. Apparently Irwin is moving their manufacture to China.

    Irwin are, apparently, the world leaders in "Vice grips" or "Mole grips" as they used to be known. Snap-on current stock them as their premier range and come with soft grip handle sleeves. There is an aperture for a hex key in the head of the (knurled bolt) adjuster, but I have no idea why it would need one.I use these as grips for stud, bolt & nut removal (a destructive process that ruins the fastener).
