I find this site very helpful for revising for my GCSEs. Pros: -Entertaining progress system -Leader board and competing with friends encourages you to do more revision -A wide range of subjects -I find it a helpful way to learn and remember things -exam questions to test your knowledge Cons: -Some mistakes eg. spelling and incorrect information -Annoying scroll system sometimes doesn't work -Can't always progress in activities... -RAGE (when you're one mark from 100% and get a question wrong… Read Full Review

Samlearning is a really bad site for multiple reasons: 1.There are many spelling mistakes, I mean come on! 2.Lots of the information is completely wrong, how are you supposed to revise something if it is contradicting things you have learnt in class? 3.Mostly, you just drag and drop answers or choose from a drop down menu - this really wont help you learn anything! 4.In "tests", you mark your own answers, so you can literally type nothing and mark it all as correct. And, to get this [I wasn't… Read Full Review

I recommend sam learning to all people from the ages of 7 all the way to the age of 18, there is a variety of different exercises for all abilities and you can learn a lot. however on a solar system question it asked me where is the sun in the solar system which i answered to the left as this is what it is in all the pictures i have seen in my text books but the answer was in the centre? But this isn't actually their fault more my text books. Although, this is the only flaw i have found so… Read Full Review

samlearning is a a good revision site for student who are doing their GCSEs it encourages student to go that extreme level to do work like competing with their friend to earn points and trophy if they are interested in it. i enjoy the fact that you don't always get the answers, instead you choose from the options. to make this sight more interesting and catchy for student, they could make it more social, like you could know when your friends are on-line and chat with them (after school hours)… Read Full Review

What i don't like about sam learning is the face that when you go on something to 'revise' it is asking you questions? to fill in the sentence so surely its better to teach you first before testing you...this idea of asking you to fill in something you don't know just lets you know how much you didn't know about it when it gives you your overall score… Read Full Review

i hate sam learning recently i have went on to it and found lots of spelling mistakes and sentences spelt wrong which sometimes makes you put in the wrong answer and really annoyes you. if there was so many spelling mistakes or sentences actually made sense then maybe it would be a lot better so they really need to sort it out!!!!!! one thing that i think is a little bit good about sam learning is that it is not all writing it is also click and drag which makes things a lot better for you. i… Read Full Review

I've been using SAMLearning at my school since year 7 and, 4 years on, it hasn't gotten any better. It's the same tiresome 'drag-and-drop, get it wrong, mess up your score' rubbish. It doesn't provide you hints or tips as to the answer to the question, and the questions are out to make you choose the wrong answer by trying to trick you. Even when first using it, you fail to learn anything, as you just quickly skim the questions and drop in an answer, in an attempt to get the horrid… Read Full Review

SAM LEARNING GO. I hate this website with a passion.
Whoever's brilliant idea it was to turn revision (Something not fun) into FUN, was clearly overambitious. Here are all the things I dislike about it:
LOGIN: Logging in to your account should be easy, but there are a lot of thing you need to know, like your Student I.D is the same as your password. If you haven't used SAMLEARNING in a while, and you're at the login screen, chances are, you won't be able to use it.
CHARACTERS: All of them… Read Full Review

As a year 11 i found that Samlearning is great as revision website, although there are problems such as there being times when the website becomes "laggy" and also; some of the answers or questions are not fully shown which mean you would have to guess the anwser, however after using the website for over 70hours i've slowly got used to the drag and drop way of picking answer and thanks to Samlearning, the grade of most of the topics which i've revised for using Samlearning has gone up a grade… Read Full Review

From a students point of view this is a useful resource that if used in conjunction with other revision techniques should pay off.
From a teacher's point of view it a very mixed bag. It's a great way to easily set homeworks. However, when it comes to retrieving reports about student's progress it simply doesn't work effectively. The steps required to retrieve reports are unecessarily complex and fustratingly circular, set tasks seem to disappear from lists so cannot be edited and students… Read Full Review

i really don't like this sight it is all drag and drop, you can do tests but when you go to mark it you have to do it for your self so you can mark the all right yay A's all round but this kind of defeats the object of revision also another thing that i hate about this sight is that it does not explain stuff in detail it just expects you to under stand things… Read Full Review

WIERD. even though to be fair it has helped me a lot in GCSE so i aint really complaining. apart from at the momeni cant get on :)… Read Full Review

i use sam learning alot for GCSE and it is very good but it can get quite boring sometimes because the exercises are only "drag and drop" type questions. This, however, doesnt pose as a problem if you are commited to your work. when i first started using the site i found it a bit confusing on where to go and how to find the different places within the site but now that i use it almost everyday, it's no problem. the BEST feature of sam learning that ihave found extremley usful is the exam style… Read Full Review
