Good Points: When Viper 5701's working it works very well.

Bad Points: Viper 5701 only works properly for a couple months before you have to get a new set of remotes.

General comments: Bought this last august. Since then I've had to get it replaced 3 times. Both remotes have stopped working more then once and the 2way remote is often moody and decides to die every 3 months or so. Nothing but problems with this set. After this I'm debating whether I ever want to purchase a Viper product again. The worst part is that Viper twill keep putting the blame of the failures on anyone but themselves.

This is a well built product with much thought put into it. The two way feature is nice and powersaving compared to other two way remotes. With normal use you should get about a year before you have to change the lithium ion.

Viper 5701 is junk and not worth the money. The buttons are set above the face of the remote and are always arming/disarming the vehicle by accident. I have gone through 6 batteries in 6 months and now neither of my remotes work at all.

I have the 5900 in my other two cars and I love them, and I swapped the LE in place of one of them. I regret it very much. Now I have no remotes because both of them quit on me. You're better off waiting until they work out the kinks with the technology.

I will never buy Viper again. This is cheap rubbish. That I wasted $500 on. Now I have to find A REAL alarm and have it redone.
