Such dreadful customer service, or lack of. Catherine on front desk was very helpful on day of rental and on the phone beforehand. Was charged more than '50 afterwards with no explanation.
Had a lot of difficulty returning the car to block C, did find this block easily.. however, there were no signs anywhere outside or inside Block C to ascertain 353's designated parking slots. Drove to roof level and back, consulted the speakerphone on exit for assistance, they weren't aware that 353 had designated parking. Left the car in Block C at first available car space. Noted the space & wrote this down and gave to lady on counter and explained the dire situation with their lack of signage (Avis was well signed). Next thing I know, I have a charge for '40 and another for '10.94. The lesser amount turned out to be for 2 road tolls, which are '2.90 to the public but 353 don't tell you they charge 47% on top of that, disgraceful rip-off. The '40 was the charge for inappropriate parking! I rang 353 4 times, as told that Catherine (manager)would return my call - never happened, along with all other usual reassurances but there was no communication or explanation forthcoming. In the end, I contacted Carhire3000 as they are agents for 353, it took 5 weeks to get a reply - and that was after a reminder more han a month later. The reply I received was an insult, Maria Reynolds was their so called customer service rep. I would be ashamed to send a snotty, abusive, insulting reply as she did. I have given up on this company and their absolute lack of customer service. I hope someday Ms Reynolds receives a deplorable service as I received from her and maybe then she might have a little understanding as to what her job entails. There is a definite lack of service there. Would not recommend to use and will never use again.

I booked car rental for 3 days through car trawler.

My paperwork to bring to the desk on Thursday night (about 12.15am), suggested I would be paying '55.80. I had no reason to think this wasn't true. Especially as the woman on the desk made no comment on this and simply handed me a pink sheet of paper and asked for me to initial and sign certain sections. It was my responsibility to check the amount on the paper, but I didn't, I would have expected the woman on the desk to actually bring any ex ...

Although I got a nice car, the money related matters of this company seem pretty dodgy. No explanation on the toll charge and extra compulsory charges to the bill (like road map) without prior notice. Also, the agent forgot to mention that I had to return the car to a different place (as I handed it back after 9pm). Although the time of return was clearly printed on the top of my rental sheet, noone thought of mentioning this to me. So when I wanted to return the car, the site was closed. It too ...

Rude and attitude of car rental company you would find in a third world country. Very sneaky and untrustworthy...charging for fuel with no option to accept or refuse, signing damage scheme prior seeing the vehicle...
I booked a midrange car, I was given a first entry economy range.
I took the excess waiver from website...yet, they took 1200 euros in deposit and said they will take the money should anything happen and if i had a problem with it, I should contact the website i book the car with.

Was given an Opel Corsa was not asked to sign any damage report and was just told there is the car in the depot and given the keys without any instruction or inspection. After going on journey noticed bad vibrations so inspected tyres and found rear tyre to be bald with wire showing through, could have caused very serious accident and totaly illegal. Also noticed tax disc out of date. Lots of damage to bodywork and old noisey engine. On return the depot was shut even though it said on paperwork ...

353 Car Rental Staff were welcoming, helpful and polite. Car was as asked for and i was only charged for a full tank of petrol on arrival instead of the usual airport tax, insurance extras that i have encountered with other hire companies in dublin airport.

We arreived back from Dublin late last Wednesday night. We ust say our experience of 353 hire car was not a happy one. We normally use Hertz and have had no problems with them however we thought we would give another company a try, so we googled hire cars and Argus recommended 353. We wanted a four dorr car and the site offered a Kia or similar car however the Kia was not the best. We arrived in Dublin there was only one member of staff on duty therefore we had to waite to be delt with we com ...

353 car hire charged me 127 euros, on top of the 127 GBP i had already paid to Holiday Autos for staying open after hours and for a full tank of fuel, of which i only used half, no refund, unlike at least 3 other car hire firms in Shannon, herzts, avis and budget. The worst thing is they never explained that they were taking any money off my card.

Second time I have used 353 Car Rental this year - a few issues both times but generally happy - did try to charge for an upgrade which I had not asked for, when I queried this they refunded immediately. I take the precaution of noting any marks on the car and getting them to sign the paper before I leave the airport. First hiring time policy was to return full which is easy, second time requirement was empty - difficult to achieve so lost about 50 euros. One of the children left a nintendo DS ...

I have been charged £35 by 353 Car Rental for returning the car with a half tank of petrol when we had actually returned the car with a full tank of petrol. The man inspecting the vehicle at Knock airport looked over the car with us, sat in the drivers seat, turned the ignition on and checked the fuel guage. He said he agreed the petrol level showed full. Week later I have been charged. Have called 353 twice. They do not phone back. They lady at the Knock airport said she would need ...

353 Car Rental have a below average service. Long lines and very few shuttles. Fuel is very expensive and requiring us to return the car empty is not good. Did not get the car we reserved, instead got an SUV which we did not want on the tiny roads of Ireland. I would rent from Avis which seemed to ahve a very smooth operation.

hope no-one has to deal with 353 carrental claims dept. It's a one woman show , She told me she had posted documents to me and when they didn't arrive I tried to call her,her phone is never answered and she does not have the courtesy to reply to voicemail or e mail, which must surely be quicker than listening to my calls every day. When I finally got through 10 days later her actual words were 'I have posted the documents and that's all that is required of me' (I still hadn't received them)It's ...

Booked a car with Argus and we got a good price. When we arrived to 353 car rental they offered us an upgrade for only '1 extra for an automatic.I think that is an exelent price. The car we got was great.I find their service friendly.Overall returnig empty option suited us, the airport is under construction at the moment, hard enough to get around to the nearest petrol station.

Booked 353 Car Rental through Cartrawler at a cost of 2 day hire '53.00, bill came to '193.00. No clear explaination, just a hurried conservation. Booked on the web, entered time of arrival and charged additional "out of hours" charge ('50.00). Will never book again.

Booked a car with 353 Car Rental at 11th hour through Angus /Car Trawler

Booked a Fiesta - got a 7 seater Galaxy, paid 71 euros for fuel & I returned it with nearly half full tank. Bit miffed as I would have felt much more confident with a small car around the lanes of Ireland. The car was filthy inside & had never been emptied of rubbish ie. full beer bottle & sweet wrappers

I booked a car through Augus Car Rental who then passed it onto 353 in Cork. The man who manned the desk was polite - when I asked if I could choose to refil on return - he said it was ok and told me where the nearest fuel station was. The car was clean and on return the same gentleman was there, asked me if we had had a good holiday accepted the fuel receipt and said that they had not put the fuel cost on my credit card - and 3 days later I still have nothing charged - so presume everthing was ...

Booked with 353 at Shannon on 6th June 09. Big queue of people waiting. No cars available for any of us when we arrived so each party had to wait approx. 30mins for a car to arrive. Was told to bring the car back empty but if we did fill up then bring a receipt. We duly brought our receipt but they had already charged us for a full tank of petrol so had a battle to get our money back.

Have just returned from a holiday in Ireland. I booked car hire through Easycar.com The company actually providing the car was 353 Rentals in Dublin Airport. As far as these comparison sites were concerned Easycar was the cheapest. However circumstances proved that this was not necessarily true. My two week car hire in Ireland costs me almost £700 for a three door Economy car (Mitsubishi Colt)

I booked my car with 353 Car Rental at Shannon airport for 11 pm
My plane was late by one hour so by the time I got to the 353 counter I was told that I would have to pay an extra 50/60 euros
because it was after 12 0'clock
I said I was was late because of the flight and was told to claim back off the airline
I dont think there was any chance because it was Ryanair
You also get a full tank of fuel which you have to pay for if you use or not
I cancelled my booking and used aother company Irish Ca ...
