I agree with the others, it's hopeless, a waste of money. I live in a rural area in the Highlands so I thought the inability to connect was caused by poor reception - although our O2 mobile phones work okay. However, having just visited the Midlands, it was no better. I ended up going to a library to use their free Broadband PC to get my emails. I've been to an O2 shop and the 'guru' there played about with the dongle and my laptop, loaded new drivers and finally deciding that the extension lead for the dongle was at fault. Maybe, but it still doesn't work; it's just useless and I'll never bother with it again. I've wasted about £100 on monthly subs and the dongle, for nothing.

Bad area coverage. We used to use Orange UK and changed to O2 Mobile Broadband to see if better coverage and it's the worst possible.
Takes around 10 - 15 minutes to pickup the 02-UK network and once connected, it connects at 56 kbps.
Slow connection, slow program loading. Complained to 02 and will pursue.

Bad Reception. Used to use a Orange UK and it had great coverage but 02 has rubbish coverage. It took around 1 hour for it to get just enough coverage to connect to the network and then connected at 56kbs.Bad product, Bad Coverage - Not worth the hassel

Bought O2 Mobile Broadband last week. Wouldnt auto install. Had to install manually. It failed to find the o2 web network in an area with a stated strong signal. Spent the best part of 2 hours on the phone to o2 being given the run around by call center. Eventually got a mobile broadband " techie" who spent an hour and a half trying to get the thing to work and failed. Its going back for a full refund. o2 service has become unacceptable in my view

I signed up back in September and was told by the o2 employee who signed me up that the broadband package was 20 euros a month MAXIMUM, and that I had unlimited Broadband. Sounded great, my partner thought so too, and we took it home.

6 weeks later I received my first bill - ' 199 euros for one months broadband. I called in to the shop to fix this clear error and was told that it was correct.
I spoke with supervisors, sale reps, etc. within the store during that month and was told to contact ...

I bought the Pay-as-you-go package, just to try it out, after previously experiencing the truly pathetic 'Three' Mobile Broadband. The dongle came at a very cheap £29.99, compared to all the £49.99 that you pay for all the other networks & £15.99 for 3GB data usage isn't unreasonable. The dongle software installed easy enough, but that's where the good points end. Apparently, it should be about 1.8 MB per-second, but even on excellent coverage, its 225kb per-second. It's just ...

Due to the nature of my job I often find myself staying in hotels and the like around the country so I figured that getting online with an O2 mobile broadband package would suit me down to the ground - flexibility to use it at home like a normal broadband connection, but with the added bonus of being able to stay connected when on the road.

    I was wrong...

Firstly - the signal. Do you live in a field or park? Brilliant - you'll have no problem connecting. Unfortunately, I live in a house like ...

I recently bought a new laptop and thought that Mobile Broadband was the way to go. Imagine being sat on a beach or your favorite cafe and still be a work so off I went in search of a USB modem. Based on price I choose 02 Mobile Broadband, based on the £20 per month for 3GB of monthly download and O2's good name. After a bit of fiddling about it was not long before I was up and running with my free dongle. I am not sure if this varies from city to city but I was told that in Manchester th ...
