    Afer enduring this contactual service, if you can call it a service for 18 months, I gave 3 a clear six weeks notice to quit the contract and too definitely not renew it. Probably the worst service I have ever used both in the UK and overseas.

    I later received a call trying to sell me even more and a better service, after several rather irrate calls and many many letters, I finally got 3 to cancel the the ocntract and call off the dogs in attempting to threaten me with leagl action for non payment. Two months down the line, I receive a bill for the last two months rental plus VAT. I have placed the whole matter in legal hands, as I firmly believe they are breaking several laws, including one of contractual agreement - we will see who wins this battle.

    I am a DJ and sometimes need to download songs whilst working. The 3 different clubs where i work get NO RECEPTION at all, although when in store the salesman "checked to see if i would get reception in all 3 places.I was told no problem in any of these areas WRONG! went on holidays to cornwall and over 50% of the time it was so slow it would take more than 20 minutes to download a song off itunes.... don't do it!!!!

    After checking that the area in which I was going to use the kit was in a turbo area I (like a sucker) signed up to a 2 year contract with 3 Mobile Broadband Plus in Jan 08. Although the speeds that I got were dismal (about 750 kbps d/l, 40 kbps u/l) I had a 5 bar signal, and the 'service' was stable/usable.
    However, their 'service' gradually degraded over time and in Nov 2008 I started complaining to Three. Speeds dropped to about 500 kbps d/l 30 kbps u/l. Web pages took an eternity to download ...

    DO NOT get into a contract with 3... I have found the actual service is at best slow, frequently disconnects - usually when i need it most. highly frustrating.

    The signal drops to nothing from full to nothing again within a short space of time so that actually using the internet is impossible as it frequently says 'you are not connected to the internet'. the connection varies every few seconds between 3G , HSDPN, and the type between 'local & internet & local only'

    If you are reading this looking to get three's mobile broadband - please don't. I had a persion of trial (14 days), where I could cancel at any time. As the connection I was getting was excellent, I was quite happy to enter a contract with them. This was the worse move I made!The day after the trial period expired, I was getting speeds of 4k/sec. This was a huge drop from the normal speeds I was getting when I was on the trial (300+k/s).Their call-centre didn't help at all and I'm now left to pa ...

    3 mobile broadband: Frequent disconnection
    Very poor download time, could make cup of tea whilst waiting to open a document. When phoned to terminate the contract they actually admitted I had a substandard service! and try to sell me something speedier for half the price! Aggressive sales speach by the advisor. Atrocious service overall!

    I was living in Australia and purchased a Three Mobile Broadband package for $200 ( £95). On the box it said "set up in 30 mins, with one simple call". That was the most misleading statement. Every word had to be spelt twice even simple words like 'Street' it took 2 hours. When we arrived back in the UK we thought it would be a simple process of signing up to Three mobile Broadband in the UK and getting a new SIM card for it. Nope.     just dont sign up for a cheap broadband dongle. im in london with a 4 bar reception and get atrocious bandwidth. it averages 16kbps i tried it morning noon and night and give up. 3 are charging me 5 pounds a month for this privilage i only have another 12months to go. they refunded 10 pounds to me the other day as if thats going to make a difference. im going to complain to ofcom. why sign so many people up for a service they cannot give... and im in london for god sake if they cant service lond ...

    Although I am in good reception area it takes ages to connect and then it just goes off line. Also every time I switch on my PC it begins initializing again it takes ages so much so that I have un-installed it. I would not advise any one to purchase this, I have been in touch with their after sales at 10p a minute and I am not impressed.

    This is an excellent facility! For years I have used my Orange mobile phone as a modem for connecting my laptop (a Mac) while away from home; but it took ages to set up, was quite difficult to make work and was very slow, even with 3G. Now I can use my 3 USB modem for internet on the move, not just when away from home, setting it up in a minute or so. Normally I use it on the train, but sometimes it is more reliable, and faster, than the WiFi in a hotel where I stay.

    Does not come anyway near broadband speed - extremely poor connection reliability and very, very slow connection speeds. Even light use of i-tunes, BBC i-player are simply out of the question. Sending a single text e-mail could take ages. Overall, a waste of money.
    E-mailing 3G also proved impossible and telephoning via some distant part of the world expensive and futile - ironic really, given that 3G is a communications company. I have now reverted to pen and paper and await a response. Bot ...

    If you do sign up with 3 'broadband' (I use that word very sparingly) be prepared for months of wrangling with them if they have a network problem and no refunds for loss of service. Apparently the local mast feeding my holiday home at Billing Aquadrome has been degraded and under maintainance for over 2 months now hmmmmm.

    I joined 3 Mobile Broadband in November 2007. At first I noticed that despite it being 'mobile' I got very poor connection reception when out and about. At home I would find that the connection would work in some places around the house but not in others. Even in a particular room there are many areas where there is no connection.
