If you do venture into any form of relationship with Sequence, or anyone else for that matter, be it another agency, landlords, contractors etc. get everything put in writing. I would suggest that at the start of the relationship you have a recorded communication (emails or recorded delivery letter)stipulating from the offset that all communications are to be in writing, to include confirmation of all verbal communications. Rented a home through Fox and Sons and Sequence Homes who actually manage it through a call centre. £300 per person to credit check us, finished only days before we were due to move in. Garage full to brim with rubbish, tap leaking, both things they promised to address before I moved in. Now no proper hot water and boiler constantly overheating and switching off. We viewed a rental property advertised by Brown and Merry in Aylesbury and decided to rent it. The agent we spoke to was aware of why we were looking for a place in that area (as I had started a new job). We were asked to pay almost £280 for a reference check which, after a few days, came back as a 'negative', owing to the fact that I was in a new job for less than 3 months - a fact they were aware of before pocketing the £280. Hi guys, Pls avoid this company at all costs. I am over £1000 out of pocket due to these fraudsters! They told me they could get me a mortgage and virtually guaranteed it! They have conned me and I feel so infuriated that i trusted them and they breached that trust. They ask you to pay upfront for application costs and broker fees when there are other brokers who do the legwork and then ask for payment, whereas these cowboys ask for your money upfront and then provide no updates for... Throughout our tenancy with Sequence (Barnard Marcus locally), the experience and customer "service" has been truly awful. When moving in they had failed to professionally clean the property, not delivered on promises to fix issues with the property and took nearly 2 weeks to repair the shower which was broken when we moved in. On leaving the property, they took 6 weeks to partially return our deposit and another few weeks to acknowledge that we were owed the full deposit and return it. ... (read more)

I had a bad experience when I put my house on the market with sequence homes, very few people were actually sent around to view my property (2 in total)I was not kept informed as to what was happening, I was not advised as to how to try and sell my house, my house details were kept in the shop window for 1 week then relegated to the back of the agents, I paid the original fee to the agents however after 18 months my house was taken off the market by sequenec homes and I was then sent a bill... t's a shame I had to give this agency one star, they are absolutely TERRIBLE.
Firstly, their staff are rude and unprofessional. They're inefficient and couldn't give a dog's ear about you and your circumstances. Don't have a home to go to next week? Sequence don't care, they're working 'to the best of their abilities'. When any other agent would have had you in to the new property last week!

spent 2 months trying to rent through them, were slow, inconsiderate and lazy. Told numerous lies to avoid work.
every step of the way they asked for more money, promised to move us in on a day we organised for and got us in three weeks late, at great cost to us.
5.30 the day before we were due to move in the ring to tell us we cant because they have not checked the landlord has the right certificates, even though they have had 2 1/2 months.

I've had the misfortune of being a tenant in a property which Sequence UK Ltd manage. They have been dishonest and unpleasant and have caused nothing but stress. Every time I've written to complain and ask about resolution of issues they've "lost" the letter, even the recorded delivery ones (therefore they never reply or take responsibility for the issues)
It has taken months to get some of the minor repairs sorted, and they refuse to sort out the insulation despite having promised they... (read more)
