“Hell No!”

The sales man was nice but ethically challenged. I was recently home from the hospital with a traumatic brain injury when he arrived at our door. He talked my partner into getting this vacuum and we had high hopes. It is awkward! It often tips over as it’s own cord gets under the canister and trips up the wheels. It is too cumbersome to use on stairs so requires a second vacuum for this job. It may have more power than other vacuum but it still spits out small dirt and stone pieces like any other vacuum I have ever owned. They “gave us a discount” as we gave them our 2 month old no bag vacuum so they could “donate it”. There is no proof they ever did so and more than likely sold it for yet more profit. They multi- filter system requires you to buy more filters and cones frequently adding to the already outrageous price. I felt extremely taken advantage of as I had a severe injury to my brain and could barely walk at the time and was unable to work. We fully disclosed this to the sales man and any decent person would have hoped me the best and excused themselves but instead took advantage of this situation to make a sale. Please stay far away from this machine and save yourself thousands!

“Breaks easily ”

It cleans well. Parts break easily. Their filters are expensive but you can get an off brand. The salesman gave us a "discount" to trade in our dyson, which worked perfectly but was getting old. I miss it every time I vacuum. It also tips over easily. I do like how it cleans, but not worth the hype/price.

“Poor sevice, poor working vacuum,does not suck!”

My Adivice,DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT !! Poor warrenty, Customer is required to pay for shipping of broken vacuum to B.C. , no reembursements for shipping to B.C. Even when vacuum is still under warrenty . filter queen became faulty after only one year of use. Also I did not find this vacuum to be all it was hyped up to be, no better than store bought vacuums. Again BUYER BEWARE .

Seen a demonstration as a kid. My parents really wanted it, but couldn't afford it at the time. Now as an adult, my husband and I had the chance to purchase one during a demonstration. My husband was skeptical at first because his family owned a vacuum called Rainbow when he was young and they said it was the best. When we saw the FilterQueen, we both agreed it was the best we seen. We bought it almost 2 years ago and we still love it. The service has been great. They always call us for filters and we have had no mechanical problems. Both our parents now actually own Filterqueens after we bought it. They are pricey, but I think they are totally worth it in the long run. We've stopped lending it out to friends because they take forever giving it back. They should get their own. HA HA. I would recommend it to people, especially if you don't like dust flying out of a vacuum.

“Do not like”

This vaccum is a pain. I have had the connection from the the hose and wand melt, factory defect. I've had the inside smoke so they took it to service it and didn't get it back for 2 months. My whole experience with this vaccine has been bad. I personally miss my Kirby!!!! I liked the hose and how durable it was.

“I love my Majestic!”

I had a miserable Kirby and an Oreck before I learned about the Filterqueen. I have wood floors and carpet. The Majestic gets all of the dust up. It requires you to pay attention to what you are doing and the attachments work really well on just about everything (corners, bedding, blinds, car upholstery, lampshades, electronics, etc). I love the fact that I can use it for pretty much anything! Works very well, replacement cones are cheap, and it actually cleans my home without polluting it. I also love the lifetime warranty so if the motor ever breaks, then I can get it fixed with no hassle through Summit Air which is located right here in MN. I also have allergies and this system helps keep my home from becoming unbearable as I also use it as a temporary air purifier. It's expensive but it was well worth the money and I couldn't be happier.

“aweful. not worth the money at all!”

I bought a filter queen last year..my mistake. It blocks up easily. You then have to take it apart. Not fun. Horrible to clean out the canister. Very dusty, messy and awkward. It does not suck from the sides or front. So you have to use the attachments every time you use it to get the job done. I have a wood floor with large area carpets. Everywhere I go along the edge of the carpet there is a ton of dust hair and debris left on the floor. Every time. So I have to take the extra time from a simple vacuum job to now cleaning my floors too. Honestly...I hate the machine. I tried to return it after using it for a week. Well, of course not! Never again. Filter Queen should be beheaded. Twice the work for 10x the money. Not worth it. Soooooo not worth it!

“very expensive to use”

When they come out to inspect it once a year I cringe because it is so expensive to buy the filters. And it dose not seem to have very good suction . When vacuuming along the walls it well not pick up anything and on the the floor very poor for performance. I went and got me the top of the line Kenmore very powerful and I love it no canisters to tow behind me.

The Majestic is not based on suction. All vacuums have suction, it is airflow that picks up dirt and dust. As long as you have good airflow through your hose and filter, your Majestic should be working efficiently. A problem may be that the hose is blocked off by some debris. A tip for this is to remove the cover of your scent chamber and attach the house to the top then turn your majestic on high and blow the debris out. I hope this helps you :)

“Only interested in your money.”

We where promise 2 days vacation in a resort and after being asked to put a $50 deposit and choosing three destinations in low season we where told to try again and again while they kept our money.We phone many people at filter queen until we were able to speak to the manager for Western Canada who said don't worry about the $50 get back to them and they will mail it back to you and to compensate you we will mail you a $25 to $30 gift .What kind of a replacement for a weekend in the mountain.And this is not the first time this happened. I would hope that the management is not only driven by the short term of the sale and realize that there is not one person I know who won't hear about this. I would have liked to know that I was dealing with a company with a very short vision and I would never have bought this vacuum cleaner[majestic] and air filter[defender] Claude

“Filterqueen Vacuum is Awesome”

I bought the Filterqueen Vacuum 2 years ago. I long ago decided that regular store bought vacuums were garbage. Over the years we owned a Kirby and a Rainbow (which uses water). They were better than store bought vacuums, but they were no match for the Filterqueen. I love my Filterqueen. It's so much more powerful than the Kirby or Rainbow. It doesn't blow dust, which I love. It's pretty easy to use and it seems to be made of good quality. Good tools as well. I really enjoy cleaning with it weekly. I have not had any problems in two years. My neighbour has had her Filterqueen for much longer (almost 20 years)with no problems. She won't use another vacuum. The service is good and warranty is very good. The price is high, but so are other high end vacuums. The Filterqueen is better and worth it.

Ask anyone who has actually worked for them. A real nightmare story and the performance of the units are only mediocre. I have a Majestic that I purchased off of eBay for $ 300. Thing is built like a tank but my $ 120 Bissel Pet Hair eraser cleans waaaaaaaay better than the way over priced Filter Queen which is over $ 1000 new. If you are gonna buy one - look on eBay.

“Long Life!!!”

My mother bought her Filter Queen in 1973 and used it as her only vacuum cleaner until about 2005. At that time, she decided she needed something lighter, so she gave it to me. She was kind enough to have it serviced to replace the motor brushes and hoses before she gave it to me and I've been using it ever since. With a data set of one, I can't draw conclusions about the longevity of Filter Queen vacuum cleaners in general, but ours has been amazing for 40 years and shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, I stumbled across this site while looking for my next batch of filters. If there's a negative, it's that getting genuine filters has been difficult unless I purchase at a local vacuum cleaner store or make a phone call to Filter Queen. I'm taking a chance with Amazon this time. The performance of my Filter Queen is also very impressive. I replaced an admittedly much less expensive Eureka, but the increased cleaning power still exceeded my expectations. If there are better cleaners out there, I can't imagine they would be substantially so. Others note that the Filter Queen is heavy and has a short power cord. Both claims are true. Of course, it rolls so the weight isn't that big of a deal to me. But as I get older, it probably will be an issue just as it became for my mother because there are times I need to carry it up the stairs or outside to empty the canister. I suspect the cord is short by design because the motor undoubtedly draws more current than a less powerful vacuum cleaner.

Hi I am a sells representative for a company that sells the Filter Queen. A tip to prevent you Majestic from tipping is to line up your intake with one of the wheels on your wheel base. That way when you pull it along, it won't tip over. As far as power cutting out, I do not know what would be causing that as I am new to the business and the product. I hope this has helped a bit :)

“ALMOST CAUGHT MY CARPET ON FIRE!!”

This thing that I spent tons of money that was suppose to be top of the line almost caught my carpet on fire! First the main motor went out that was covered by warrenty but then they have to find other stuff wrong to make money off me, then less then a year after that happen I was vacuuming and the sweeper part starts smoking and sparks come flying out of it. So I call the filter queen company or Health Mor whoever it is first 2 lady's I talked to were very nice but could I get a call back from the service manager NO!!!!! So I kept trying to call and get some answers of what they are going to do I got nothing but treated like horrible and they were VERY RUDE!!!!! Don't buy from this horrible company they don't care about you they want your money and shut you out after that!

My majestic queen did the same thing this weekend. Luckily, I was close to tile so I could lift it over to tile until the flame went out. This is the third problem I have had with this vacuum. I too called the company and was directed to another person at another number. Of course, he was on the phone so I got his voice mail and have had no return call yet. Whether they fix it or not, I will be afraid to use it. And of course you are left without a vacuum. Between the hassles of repairs and buying filters every year, it would be cheaper, safer to buy a cheaper vacuum every 5 years.

Took me awhile to get used to using a canister. But it is wonderful on all my tile and wood floors. I bought a refurbished Filter Queen at the vacuum store I have shopped at for years. The new ones are way over priced, but finding a refurbished machine is much more cost effective.

have had my filter queen for 15 plus years- haven't had any major repairs other than new head brush and bulbs for the floor lite on the attachment.
the only complaints i have would be they have NO SERVICE- bought mine from filter queen salesman with all kids of promises of yrly service and warranty work, but kinda funny, once he got my money no way could you contact him- no return calls, no nothing! anything i needed done i did myself with parts i purchased online- i have 2 house cats and 2 large dogs so i use my filter queen pretty much daily. Alot of money, probably too much- but the best vacuum i ever owned

Filter Queen Majestic Purchased January 2002.
Good Product - but very overpriced.
Have big problem making contact. He always turns up for Annual Service but then he gets paid for the parts. Last year I replaced the tools, on his advice, very expensive. He replaced the turbo head tool aswell which came apart after two uses. Despite numerous calls - his answerphone promises to call you back- but he never does. I also sent calls/texts to his mobile. Recently I sent him e-mails. He has not responded and it is now eight months since I first reported this. Probably too busy selling the product to care about existing clients. I would not recommend the product because of the lack of after sales contact, it is very frustating and makes me wish I had never heard of Filter Queen.

It's funny that you say things are being fixed all the time, yet you give it 4 stars for durability. Plus Filterqueen doesn't send repairmen to houses. They pick up machines up at customers homes and send them to the manufacturer for repair. You must have been dealing with a local vacuum shop repairman who was pretending to be an authorized Filterqueen dealer and was ripping you off by charging you for parts. Call Filterqueen directly and you will be taken care of. That's what my neighbour has done. She had her Filterqueen for 20 years and loves the machine and the service.

Has anyone had any complaints about the smoke occurring where the hose handle joins the tube to the rotary head? I experienced this last Sunday and now I'm afraid to use it for fear of a fire occurring.
