My mother bought her Filter Queen in 1973 and used it as her only vacuum cleaner until about 2005. At that time, she decided she needed something lighter, so she gave it to me. She was kind enough to have it serviced to replace the motor brushes and hoses before she gave it to me and I've been using it ever since. With a data set of one, I can't draw conclusions about the longevity of Filter Queen vacuum cleaners in general, but ours has been amazing for 40 years and shows no signs of... (read more)

This thing that I spent tons of money that was suppose to be top of the line almost caught my carpet on fire! First the main motor went out that was covered by warrenty but then they have to find other stuff wrong to make money off me, then less then a year after that happen I was vacuuming and the sweeper part starts smoking and sparks come flying out of it. So I call the filter queen company or Health Mor whoever it is first 2 lady's I talked to were very nice but could I get a call back... (read more)

My majestic queen did the same thing this weekend. Luckily, I was close to tile so I could lift it over to tile until the flame went out. This is the third problem I have had with this vacuum. I too called the company and was directed to another person at another number. Of course, he was on the phone so I got his voice mail and have had no return call yet. Whether they fix it or not, I will be afraid to use it. And of course you are left without a vacuum. Between the hassles of repairs and buying filters every year, it would be cheaper, safer to buy a cheaper vacuum every 5 years.

Took me awhile to get used to using a canister. But it is wonderful on all my tile and wood floors. I bought a refurbished Filter Queen at the vacuum store I have shopped at for years. The new ones are way over priced, but finding a refurbished machine is much more cost effective. (read more)

have had my filter queen for 15 plus years- haven't had any major repairs other than new head brush and bulbs for the floor lite on the attachment.
the only complaints i have would be they have NO SERVICE- bought mine from filter queen salesman with all kids of promises of yrly service and warranty work, but kinda funny, once he got my money no way could you contact him- no return calls, no nothing! anything i needed done i did myself with parts i purchased online- i have 2 house cats and 2...

Filter Queen Majestic Purchased January 2002.
Good Product - but very overpriced.
Have big problem making contact. He always turns up for Annual Service but then he gets paid for the parts. Last year I replaced the tools, on his advice, very expensive. He replaced the turbo head tool aswell which came apart after two uses. Despite numerous calls - his answerphone promises to call you back- but he never does. I also sent calls/texts to his mobile. Recently I sent him e-mails. He has...

When I purchased my Majestic Filter Queen in 2004 I was promised there would be a yearly service. Also a lifetime Guarantee. I have only once had a service in 2006 and am not able to contact the service engineer - he either doesn't answer his mob. or it is switched off. The company have not responded to e-mails. It is one thing to order a belt and replace oneself but if the motor needs attention then that should be seen to by the company.
Because of my experience of diabolically poor...

Unfortunately, you probably should accept that you have no guarantee. The company went rather wrong in the UK (i presume you got it here). You can order parts fairly cheaply online and they are extremely easy to fix yourself. Sadly it sounds like you paid LOTS from a sales rep. I got mine 2nd hand for very little so I dont have anything to complain about

I bought a used Majestic on Ebay for 300.00. I paid 100.00 for a new Ametek motor and about 40.00 for a new power head motor, so now I basically have a brand new Majestic for about a third of what a new one costs.
New Filter Queens are way overpriced, but there is nothing that cleans as well, and will be as durable in the long run.

Majestic Filtet Queen expensive machine but a really excellent performer and i've tried it against other day to day machines I feel its a bit like buying a Mercedes you pay more for a very much longer lasting product . It is a little heavy I like the extra heavy duty filtration and the its ability to get dog hair off the carpet like nothing else i've used . price is too high this is due to the commission based sales model that they use. Dont buy one on finance unless you can get... (read more)

It sounds like you are quite rough with yours.. they are pretty durable machines. The guarantee is misleading.. it covers the labour, not the parts.. and the parts are expensive, because thats how they re-coup the labour. The machines are extremely basic.. Just buy the parts yourself. You only need a screwdriver!

Since the late 1920's No machine has matched the cleaning ability of the Majestic Filter Queen 360. That says something, doesn't it? Even at over 2000 dollars, if you maintain the machine the way you are supposed to you won't have to buy another vacuum again, neither will your kids. On top of that the money it will save on buying to furniture and carpet... It is a bit at first but in the long run... (read more)

Agreed, look after it and it will last for decades... even better, buy a used one privately and service yourself as they are extremely basic. The lifetime 'service' guarantee is a scam. (I used to work for them)

For what it does the Majestic Filter Queen 360 is the top product on the market, both for environmental concerns and for usability. You will never find a cleaner surface after using the filter queen, try any other vacuum and than go over it with the filter queen, you will still pick up dust dirt and filth with the filter queen.your vacuums don't work. you should call the consumer protection agency. Sounds like they never really corrected the recall
