    Good Points: Comfort and driving.

Bad Points: Most unreliable vehicule on the road.

General comments: I bought my VW Jetta in 2000 and problem after problem ocured
The TDI engine was very fuel economic but you got to change the turbo at 100,000km and its not cheap
As for the electrical good luck from A to Z everything will let you down.
And all the plastic trim is bitter, the glove compartment hinges are moulded to the panel and when you decide to jam something in will break.
Do not slam the doors as the glass will fall down.

    Etc, etc.

What a nightmare of a car.

But I must admit the driving is awesome and the TDI will give you 1,000km a tank but that's where it stays.

I would recommend the car to the inlaws.

The Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 Family Car is very reliable and has by far the most comfortable back seats I have ever been in on an economy car. I actually have the 1.8 Liter Turbo model made in the USA, and it has more speed, better performance, and better handling than most other cars on the highways.

    ODE TO JETTA

Your gleaming emblem symbolizes a work-ethic and a commitment to
customer satisfaction...Volkwagen is "The People's Car," after all.
Thoughts of Deutschland, but Made in Mexico. Stout in theory,
yet fragile in execution. An odious marriage it hath been.

I fell in love with your seductive Euro-image, but before long, things went
wrong with you in so many ways. Handicapped at birth, you're just not up to
the task of normal function. Is it too much to ask, that you l ...

This is my second Bora/Jetta 2.0 - I enjoy driving it to work just like the first day. Convenient controls, excellent dashboard design (smooth lines, ideal for long distance driving), excellent ABS breaks, very stable, great mileage per gallon too (about 25 miles/U.S. gallon). Back middle seat not an issue if small children involved, adults might have some trouble. Despite its size, large individuals have no problems feeling comfortable. Incredibly easy to park and maneuver.
