Good Points: Very good detail, realistic scale speeds, decent gear boxes.

Bad Points: Smoke unit quit working within 2 hrs. Drive sprockets were warped. Vendor is replacing smoke unit and sprockets free of charge. Not a true Radio control.

General comments: This Heng Long 1/16 RC German Tiger 1 BB Radio Controlled Firing Battle Tank with Smoke & Sound is excellent for those of us who don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a nice RC peice. You can do what ever you want to it and still have money to eat on. True, upgrades are hard to find in the US but most can be found at other places besides hobby shops. The only thing that is fairly expencive is the conversion from a circuit board to a true Rodio Control, but it's well worth it. The upgrade to metal{gearboxes, tracks wheels and spockets etc} in my opion is worth it if you are using the tank all the time, if not keep it like it is you still have hours of fun.

My opinion is, if it aint broke then leave it alone. This is an entry level tank and should remain so. If you are a true RC enthusiast like me then fiddle with it, if not, then just enjoy it out of the box and follow the manu ...
