I will never buy another whirlpool product again. First the electronic panel on the s20b rss31 needed replaced which cost 350 it was only 2 years old. With two adult careful owners. Next the water dispenser (internally) broke - more money. Then it broke again and we were told by a service engineer to unsrew panel at bottom and hoover it every month!!! Its a fridge! Now the fridge is warm the freezer alarm goes of constanlty but nothing freezes in it. So thats it we are throwing it out because we refuse to pay hundreds of pounds again to get this product fixed. It cost £1300 new and i think we hit £2000 on call outs and replacement parts. It is being replaced with an ordinary fridge and separate freezer. Whirlpool are a complete disgrace. It was an expensive product and it's a complete joke. Ps my sister has one and has the exact same problems. She intends to throw hers out to the next time it breaks.

We have had our Whirlpool American style fridge freezer for less than 3 years. The fridge alarm started going off as the temperature started to rise. Have had 2 call outs from a local specilaist repairer who having swapped out the thermal cutout switch now advises that it is probably only worth scrapping as any further replacement parts woould be cost prohibitive against a new machine!

Rubbish product. Ice maker never worked properly and engineers have been out 20 times to fix it but it still doesnt work . Now Whirlpool S20B RSS31 is out of guarantee and both the fridge and freezer have stopped working.Only just 4 years old! Disgusting! I will not buy another whirlpool product. My dishwasher is whirlpool and that broke too.

Their customer service has been terrible, slow, patronising and unhelpful for me. Our fridge freezers developed large cracks across the back after less than 4 years. We paid for an engineer to call but it is irreparable. Although we had an eight year guarantee which meant we could replace the fridge at a discount, Whirlpool has added a host of hidden charges which makes the discount virtually worthless. I would NEVER buy another Whirlpool product.
