    Good Points: Roomy
    Handles well at speed
    Style
    Gas Savings

Bad Points: Cup Holders are a Joke
    1.8L is underpowered
    No Airbags
    No ABS
    No A/C

General comments: Great car, but spend a little extra on a GL or GTI, you will really want the extra power on highways!
VW's handle better than any car I have previously owned, a thrill to drive! (Previously owned a Civic and Corolla).

The Volkswagen Golf Mk3 1.8 CL offers exceptional build quality, a comfortable ride and a large boot. It is a little underpowered, the gear change could be smoother, but it is a great car, and generally pleasant to drive, although the clutch is quite stiff and gear change is not too bad. Otherwise, it is a great practical and comfortable car that will run forever.

Personally, my Golf has undertaken 150,000 and is still running very well with the minimal amount of problems occuring. If you are looking to invest money in a car to save money and keep for a long ti ...
