I dieseled up £10, the pump jammed at 0.25p, got the idiot at the desk out to help, he got it working, I payed then jumped into my car, started the engine and my display still shows 25 miles left and the needle never went up!! The manager is on holiday so I spoke with the area manager... He said he's never heard of this before and that my car was faulty and I should drive around the block and it will sort itself out. Went to purchase a few items from the convenient store. Arrived at the till and needed to use a debit card. The man behind the till told me I needed to make a £10 minimum payment. No sign next to machine informing you. Told the cashier I'd get something else to bring the total up. Staff at maidenhead murco station is absolutely useless! You need to be really careful as they always try to charge you way more than u should pay Or will give u less change! Especially night shift- they take advantage of the drunk people but forget that the sober ones shop there too! I often have to shop there when i have early morning shift. But it ruins my whole day! Filled car up with petrol and then had to pay for the fuel filter to get changed, Dirty fuel from there underground tanks. The shop had very little stock and the girl behind the counter couldnt care less, Disgusting service and very poor quality site. will not use it again and will tell friends to avoid it. (read more)

It makes a change to go into a petrol station shop that actually feels like a shop.After my first visit having just moved to the area I will be returning quite often I think.It just proves that people working in these type of places dont have to have to behave like mindless morons.Others should watch and learn.Well done staff and management! I ride a motorbike and have been using the Murco station around the corner from the office to fill-up at least once if not twice a week for the last ten years until today when I got told to remove my helmet (new policy from brainless head office...
This was the last time I will purchase from there, and any other station that treats mtorcyclists that way.
This is not far short of discrimination, and enough is enough. All I can hope is that all other riders will do the same and boycott Murco...

I am sure that petrol station staff do not think its brainless to ask you to remove your helmet considering the brainless people who do try to steal from such places with helmets, hoodies and balaclavas. Asking you to remove your helmet is a staff health and safety thing surely i would not consider this brainless!!!!

I would like to say that Im not easily impressed but our local MURCO Petrol station seems to excel at everything!Its not often I actually feel comfortable handing over money for fuel but I never object to it here.The shop is fab and always seem to tempt me to buy something. Well done! (read more)

Most likely due to an increased amount of fuel thefts/drive offs by people on bikes. Normal acceptable practice at some stations.

Not at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, and not for a fiver's worth of petrol. disgusting still springs to my mind. I do see your point that there are some idiots, but the Franchise manageress is absolutely vile & offensive, especially when MURCO sent me two £5.00 vouchers as an apology, and she even ranted in front of a queue of customers how she wasn't going to accept it and I had no right to make a complaint against her station. I think I did somehow, and will never recommend that station to anyone.
