    The Siemens Gigaset is a nice phone for general home use - but seriously flawed. Has not got a Mute - that is it cannot put the caller on speaker phone and switch off the microphone. So it is uselss for conference type calls.

    This is depite the manual saying that it has a mute function - in actual fact that is a "hold" function - it can stop both caller and receiver from hearing each other.

    Check what you want to use the phone for. I am using it for normal calls but have to have another system of inferior panasonic phones still in use because they can do the "mute" function.
