    I arranged a visit from Hillary's blinds which was a 12-3pm slot. The advisor turned up and asked what I wanted, vertical blinds, and went and measured while I was browsing the samples. I chose a couple of samples of which I was interested in when he told me the quote....£280 for two windows!! I nearly fainted. Bearing in mind this supposed to include, yes, 25% discount (which 50% was advertised)plus 10% extra because I have had hillarys blinds once before and was fully replacing, but no mention of 10% extra off too, which I should have had for booking within the week when the special promo was on! Knowing I wasn't going to buy at that price he quickly lowered the quote to £250, still, I wasn't happy and said I wanted to think about it. He didn't look happy at all. But seriously after reading these comments I'm so glad I didn't go ahead with the so called 'deal'. My in-laws had a quote (a couple of hours after me)for the same size window in the same fabric and was quoted £30 more!!

    I went onto ebay and ordered replacement slats with free weights, chain and hangers for the two windows....£42! Luckily I still have the original 'hillarys blinds' of which I don't need to replace after all!

    Please all would-be customers be very careful when ordering any blinds from this company; I ordered some roof and side vertical blinds for my conservatory back in August this year, and although I have had the roof blinds fitted, Hillarys have made not 1 set, but 3 sets of side blinds all made to the wrong measurements - you would of thought they would of got it right after the first mistake!!!

    I would avoid this company like the plague !! I so wish I had.
    I placed an order with Hillary's for total of £450.00 and was promised the blind's within 2 weeks. 4 weeks later I am still being fobbed off with every excuse known to man kind and am no further forward with a delivery date ! I told the advisor that I would be calling their head office tomorrow and will be asking for a refund, his response > 'well you won't get it read the back of your order form' < as plain and blunt has that ...

    I REALLY WISH I had read this site before ordering from Hillarys. I am not a big complainer but Hillarys have driven me to the edge! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 10 weeks ago I placed a £2000 order for shutters only to have the fitter call me and cancel my fitting without notice because Hillarys missed the delivery driver to dispatch the shutters to the fitter.     I invited them to quote for wooden blinds, they arrived Monday morning, told me theywere on special offer and then quoted an extortionate price. two days later they called to make me this week's special offer. They left me on hold to talk to their manager and came back offering me a 25% discount. Had they offered me that originally I may well have accepted. But hope no one will deal with a compnay working in this way.

    I arranged for Hillary's to come out to give me a quote. I had to leave work early to be home in time for them (6pm) only to be called at 7.15pm to advise that they were stuck in traffic & couldn't make it with all the other appointments they had for the same night. I'm not sure why my appointment was deemed less important than any of the other potential customers they were going to see.     I so wish I had seen this site before ordering shutters from Hillarys. They told me it would be 8 weeks from order. The sales person took the hefty deposit, then two weeks later a fitter arrived to measure up and gave me an installation date 8 weeks from then (10 weeks from deposit paid). With no info to contrary I removed all window coverings repairing the walls for the shutters. No one turned up.     Hillarys Blinds are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They products are poor, their fitters are incompetant and their knowledge of customer service is non-existant. They won't remedy a problem with the fittings of our blinds, so we haven't paid the balance. We keep writing and ringing to sort it out but they just keep sending threatening letters.
    Absolute bunch of jokers. Wish I had done my research before using them.

    avoid hillarys at all costs!!!!! too many problems to write about but i'll let you know the basics. ordered a blind, took day off work for fitting, fitter never turned up. after loads of phone calls and ridiculous excuses from the customer service team i wrote to them saying i'd cancel my order if they didn't contact me straight away and that i wanted compensation for taking the day off work. they then sent me a letter demanding final payment or they'd take legal action. after i made a number of ...

    I'm not usually one for reviews however the service we have so far received from Hillary's is incredibly shocking. We ordered the blinds 8 weeks ago. Half turned up 3 weeks after the initial fitting date. The shutters should have arrived today however we received a phone call today from Hillary's stating that there had been an error in the order, whatever that means.     Blinds were excellent, fitter very helpful. Dont expect any after sales service from Hillarys. I had a problem with one of the brackets- Customer Service totally unhelpful. Said they couldnt do any more than leave a message for the fitter- who then never rings...

    Deal with Hillary's blinds with great caution!

    I ordered a blind with them and paid a deposit. On the day of fitting (which I took a day off work for) the fitter didn't turn up between the appointed time slot of 12-3 pm. No reason, no excuse. After calling customer services they couldn't offer me an explanation but said the fitter would contact me before 8pm. Waited in all day for the call but it never came.     I asked Hillarys Blinds for a home appointment and was told it would be anytime between 6 - 9pm. When I explained that i had a little boy that I had to put to bed so wanted a 6pm slot I was told that they didn't work that way!

    We were interested in having some vertical blinds fitted and chose Hillarys as they appeared to be well known. An advisor came to visit us three weeks ago to show us some examples of fabrics and designs.
    The advisor was very friendly and did not push us into a sale at all. He then left a quote after we decided on what we wanted and we paid 50% deposit. The advisor came back when he said he would and did an excellent job of fitting the blinds, in our case, five cream vertical blinds. The service ...

    We bought the fit your own blinds from Hilarys Blinds,and are very happy with the blinds and the service, they rang to say the delivery would be a day late, but thats all it was a day. Great quick service, used them twice, no complaints.

    blinds look nice ,back up service almost non existant, still awaiting correct brackets to fit last set.
    nice blinds ,to much like hard work to get missing parts sorted,

    We ordered blinds on November the 10th and Hillarys Blinds took a deposit of £80 by credit card. As of the 7th January we still have no blinds and despite numerous phone calls we are still waiting for a return phone call to let us know what's happening.

    This is the poorest service from a national company I have ever experienced.

    Hillarys Blinds are great for a diy avoider like me, the rep came round advised me and my husband on the best colours, fabrics etc for my living room, measured up then came back to fit for us a couple of weeks later. Great service, rep was lovely.

    Customer service I got of Hillarys Blinds is the poorest I have ever experienced. Once the guarantee ran out I felt I was just left high and dry. They couldn't repair their own blinds that were fitted only four years ago as they are classed as too old. My blind was not cheap in the first place - £120 for ONE - and now I need to replace it due to this. I will NEVER use this company again and recommend that others steer well clear.

    The blinds I bought from Hillarys Blinds were ok for a year until one of them broke. It took 3 weeks from the first call and I am still waiting. Apparently they forgot to come and pick it up. The repair takes minimum of 2 weeks and about 2 more weeks with delivery. My blinds are not under the guarantee anymore, so for this poor service I have to pay as well. I think they should take care about me as an existing customers as much as they did when I was a new one. And here I see I am not the first ...
