I ordered 6 blinds for a sun room when they were fitted there was one missing and one the wrong colour. They apologised and said it would be ratified in a few days,several weeks later i still hadn't heard anything when i ran up they apologised again and said it would be dealt with asap . “Abysmal 'Free' Service!”

I've just had a terrible experience with Hillary's customer services. The service I received concerning an appointment I had arranged at a holiday apartment we had just bought, a few hours from our home left me seething. The advisor was due to appear anytime between 12noon and 3pm. We made a special journey to meet him there (we had to be at the apartment several days before but the advisor was not free then). Similar happened to me adviser didn't turn up to my home ,when i rang them they apologised and he came a week later , ordered 6 blinds and 5 turned up 4 weeks and several calls later the remaining blind still not here coming to take them down and get my money back wish i had never gone to them probably did you a favour not turning up as the quality is not great either

“Made to Measure Curtains - unfortunatley they were too...”

I ordered two black out roller blinds, one roman blind and one pair of black curtains. Blinds were find. Curtains however where approximately 3 inches too short. Being a reasonable customer, I accepted that mistakes happen, and didn't complain. I was advised that I needn't pay the remaining balance until completely satisfied and that someone would be in contact. Approximately one month later, I had to ring customer services. “The opposite of company care”

We spent many thousands of pounds with this company: blinds and awnings. Their level of customer service is zero and seems to amount to working out how much money they can screw out of customers.If you want some of that - go ahead and buy something from them. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They employ surveyors who are incompetent and can't measure windows properly. They employ fitters who are rude and couldn't care less about the client. They employ drone like automatons who work in their office who publically make out they are concerned at the situation and want to put it right then send you shirty emails basically telling you to put up or shut up(without any meaningful apology) and finally they expect you - despite their own… Read Full Review

Very disappointed with Hillarys explanation of why I cannot order spare slats for PVC Blinds which cost me a lot of money.Do not recommend these blinds not strong where they clip on to rail and when I tried to order new slats I was told I had to order new blinds.As you can imagine these PVC are very expensive and they say they get them from abroad and cannot order spares only full blinds .Can anyone tell me why when they come as single slats spares cannot also be ordered from abroad.This should… Read Full Review

Ordered blinds for my conservatory roof. fitted put up blinds, however three were broken. Sent back to be repaired. These were suppose to be installed at Easter. I am still waiting for them. I have rang 5 times to let me know when they will be fitted. On my last call I was advised they have lost blinds and someone should have called me. I am still awaiting the call. Very frustrating. “I have seen better dishcloths”

I had two roman blinds made, one very small and one medium sized. They cost me a total of £550.00. What a rip-off! I was lead to believe by their salesman that no stitching would show through the top fabric. It does.According to the salesman I picked a 'more expensive' fabric (the original quote was £630 until I winced) so how come this more expensive fabric has the quality of a J-Cloth. “Horrendous Customer Service”

Ordered on the basis of completion date, weren't the cheapest but decided installation date was more important. Fitter turned up later than expected, didn't check blinds were correct before coming. Advised as he was leaving that a number of blinds were incorrect and he couldn't complete the job. Customer Setvices Dept attrocious, imagine double glazing call centre and you won't be far off. “AVOID USING THEM - Shocking Level of Service”

First contact was great with Hillarys blinds. Made an appointment and a specialist arrived to give advice and measure up. He explained that the next stage of the process was survey and fit. 5 visits so far and the experience just gets worse- first person priced it and took 50% in advance-2nd visit to measure up _3rd visit to fit one small Venetian blind -what a disaster after an hour he left without being paid ! I had the most horrible experience of customer service at Hilarys blinds. Watchdog had it put really nicely when they did a run for hilary's blinds service "hilary's do they measure up?". I had a hilary's rep to visit me at home to get a quote for blinds he gave me the quote and also a number 2 in my bathroom which I had to clean up after he left. Family up showered, bed made rooms tidy ready for HILLARYS to come & measure up for bedroom blinds. Rep will be here between 9am & 12, waited & waited, no show no phone call Phoned office, girl said she would contact rep & phone me back, No call back. had man round to measure front room and bedroom for vertical blinds,chose the ones we wanted not the cheapest ones because some of the material was very thin, the same man fitted the blinds but was not pleased how they closed because on the corners of the bay windows where the blinds meet there was a gap so when lights on you can see in the room, also fixing screws was left out on main rail, had him back to sort the gap out only he couldent do it said he would come back and take pictures of… Read Full Review

“Poor on line customer service with web-blinds”

Blinds received were over long by two slat widths and therefore did not hang correctly The web-blinds part of Hillarys would not accept any fault was present on their part. Photographs were sent showing the problem but the response was that extra slats are added deliberately to ensure the drop selected is reached. “(Still) disgruntled”

Never having been able to afford a made to measure service while raising the family (let's face it, it's not a cheap option!), we did so on this our latest (and probably last) house move, hoping and expecting to get something a bit more superior. not so far. We are still pleased with our choice of material, and as such the curtains look lovely - if a bit too wide for the pole (even though measurements were taken by the 'consultant'). I've recently moved house and wanted Hillary blinds to fit my blinds before I moved in. That was my first mistake. After some time they actually fitted my blinds very badly. I have contacted the fitter and of course he is not interested he has been paid. My first contact with customer service they refunded 20 pound Wow.
