Had some conservatory roof blinds fitted last August ...looked fine however had the conservatory doors open earlier this year and one of the blinds began to flap in the wind due to the cord being threaded about 6" from edge of blind ( most of other blinds had this cord abou 1" from edge ). Felt this could cause problems since the blinds are made from a flimsy material . “Poor service and customer service”

Poor service all round and terrible customer service. We ordered a new set of made to measure curtains for our lounge bay window. Fitter turned up on expected day & time. Took him a couple of hours to fit a new track and hang the curtains. I did mention to him that the track did not look level and drooped in places, to which he replied my ceiling was out! “Advisor failed to attend and failed to call me by phone.”

I had an appointment for an advisor to call at my home on the 25th August 2017 between 12.00pm to 3.00pm, but however, the advisor failed to attend and failed to have the courtesy to telephone me to let me know that they wasn't going to attend. I telephoned Hillary's 3 times that day in anxiety for my advisor to call, in which, Hillary's team made numerous failed attempts to contact the advisor. Very pleased with our curtains and blinds.Couldn't have the curtain poles we were going to have as it didn't work in our rooms but the person I dealt with said we could have tracks and they are so smooth really glad we chose them instead. Curtains with the pleats are lovely. The two guys I dealt with were really good and did the whole job, 3 windows for curtains and blinds in really good time. The entire process from ordering to fitting was quick and efficient. Had blind and carpet fitted in my bedroom. Room and window measured paid for and fitted within 2 weeks. I was kept informed when the carpet would be fitted. The fitters were helpful, friendly and did an excellent job. So pleased I will be ordering a carpet and blind for the next room soon. We recently had a kitchen and lounge extension and had roof lantern windows fitted. They are fab but let loads of light and heat in. The rooms were far too hot and we could not watch tv in either room because of the bright light coming through the lanterns. Eventually we found out that Hillarys do blinds to fit the lanterns. We shouldn't have dealt with this company as the man who came to the house wasn't pleasant to start with but we needed a new blind quickly as the old one had broken. When he came to fit it he wanted to come at 8.30 a.m and as we are elderly we said this was a bit early but he wouldn't give us another time so we went along with it. The stuffs utter rubbish breaks in 2 years terrible to clean, I bought a house with a receipt in the file from this company, the stuffs all over the house, cost thousands! It utterly awful quality you can get the same on an internet/bay auction website at a quarter of the cost. I've had to have wands and connector mechanisms repaired at a cost of £175. One big problem from order to potential fitting. I ordered my blinds in May. Was not informed they would be late delivery until 4 wks later. The fitter had my blinds delivered end May and by second wk July had still not contacted me to arrange a fitting date. It took time and many conversations to get my blinds which I had fully paid for 8 wks beforehand.
