We did exactly what it says on the "tin" but unfortunately the product does not do what it says on the "tin". Used 4 bottles of Patio Magic on our patio and are now having to clean it with a pressure washer. Patio Magic made absolutely no differnce to the patio at all, may as well have put our money in the bin. (read more)

Our patio slabs turn green over the autumn and winter and up to now the only way to clean them is with a high pressure washer which doesn't do the grout much good at all. Applied this in the 4:1 ratio on Easter Friday using a large watering can, it just about got the 6 hours that the instructions ask for before the rain came but despite that, by Saturday afternoon the colours had began to reappear and whilst they still need a brush to get rid of the grime they look a hundred times better. I used to be very cynical about Patio Magic and the claims made about its capability. However, this spring I applied it (in a slightly more concentrated form that the 1:4 recommended - essentially making it an MMC-Pro - also made by Brintons for professionals) and after a few weeks my pation was like new - and it's located under trees. I have since used it for the removal of the green algae on garden furniture, garden shed, fences etc. and it does an excellent job. Patience is required as it... (read more)

I used Patio Magic 2 years ago and my experience was that it did not immediately have too much effect on the moss and algae, but over a period of one to two months the moss/algae disappeared and the paving was restored to its original colour. Have patience. (read more)

I bought Patio Magic and did half of my patio as instructed - 4 - 1 mix. It has made absolutley no difference at all and I cannot see any difference in the area cleaned to the area not cleaned. a complete waste of money. It certainly doesn;t do what it says in the packet ! (read more)

I'm very surprised that it didn't work for you. I use a 1:6 mix for killing any algae that forms on my patio, and it works very well within a day or two. Of course you have to scrape out any thick moss, but once it's dead it comes out quite easily. But the remarkable thing about is that it also cleans the surface over a period of time (1-3 months depending on the weather). I use it twice a year - early spring and late autumn - on my driveway paviors, and they are immaculate; virtually as clean as using a pressure washer, but without any damage to the surface of the paviors which p/w's cause. Two things to remember: make sure you really soak the surface (don't use it on a warm sunny day; it evaporates too quickly) and BE PATIENT. You will be well rewarded with the results.

I'd bought a similar product before (1 litre spray, ready to use), but wasn't that impressed. Sure it was more expensive than Patio Magic 5ltr as well (Patio Magic - £7.99 in Poundstrechers, 3-for-2 at £9.99 in Tesco) and it was hardly enough to cover my small patio. This time I got myself one of those pump-up pressure spay canisters as well, mixed 1:4, sprayed it on, and two days after the result was excellent! Got plenty left for another couple of times. Would have liked to know that it's... (read more)

I was really excited to find what I thought would be an easy option to cleaning the three patios I have. But very disappointed. I cleaned one of the patios with Patio Magic and it was patchy. Brown marks in some areas. But not at all clean. At the same time I used Wilkinsons own brand of patio cleaner on one of the other patios and used a scrubbing brush. That was wonderful. I returned the Patio Magic to Wilkinsons with a complaint. They said they would not report to the company unless there... (read more)

Slowly cleared my crazy paving of the odd weeds and moss but no better than any other, except more expensively. The same on the drive. I was hoping for a cleaner drive as jet washing means I have to brush sand in the cracks again.
I will still have to jet wash to get the slabs clean.

Bought Patio Magic! MMC Concentrate some time ago and finally got round to doing the job yesterday.
Followed the instructions on the container and treated the area of paving about 3.00pm. Had to keep the dog locked in while it dried, not too long as it was still warm.
By the following morning all but the very bad areas were now algea free, and back to there original colour. By tea time the whole area was algea free, and any moss between the slabs was turning yellow.
Would I use this...

Same here. What a waste of money. We are now scrubbing the slabs. Looking for somewhere to complain.
