I live in South Africa. It is desperate when you cannot find Bio Tex products anywhere, even on the net. It is the only product that truly cleans things properley; right down to huge grease stains and then plenty more. HELP!! (read more)

I'm amazed at how little customer reviews there are on this product! I tried to clean a baby bouncer lining in vanish about 4 times in many different ways. We have a coal fire and somehow this all ended up on the bouncer. It was either that, or ground in dirt that was just impossible to remove. I soaked the lining ( which was non washable, surface clean only) in this for just under 24 hours, and put it on a hand wash cycle, and OH MY GOD!!!! Every bit of previous stain has now completely... I have just had a reply from the new suppliers of Bio-tex. Copy below:
DCS Europe plc | Timothy's Bridge Road | Stratford-upon-Avon | CV37 9YL
Contact | Tel: 01789 208021 | Fax: 01789 208073 | www.dcseurope.com
The previous UK distributor of Biotex ceased trading earlier in the year, hence your difficulty in locating stocks.
DCS started to distribute both the powder and spray a couple of months ago and stocks are re-appearing on supermarket shelves.
We have made deliveries of the powder...

I gather the UK supplier (Jenks) went into administration early in 2009 but other sites say it is now available in the UK. Biotex is manufactured in the Netherlands. If you email biotex on http://tinyurl.com/find-biotex and insert your postcode into the main message box (the postcode section won't accept it!)they should hopefully reply with a stockist near you. I am waiting to hear from them. (read more)

Glad to know that I am not the only one who is aggrieved with the 'disappearance' of Biotex. Like a lot of other comments I have read,I agree that nothing else has the qualities and results of this powder. Can only hope that some company has the sense to re-stock this product and SOON !!!! For a good number of years, I have been using Biotex stain removing powder both to soak badly stained articles before washing them and to augment the stain removing properties of the non-biological washing powder I use. I have found it absolutely excellent and am appalled that I can no longer obtain it. What has happened to it? Please restore it to supermarket shelves as soon as possible.

I see others are having problems buying biotex. Can anyone tell me where it has gone? None of the others compares to it. Dr Beckmann Glow white does a decent job in the wash but nothing as good as biotex for soaking. (read more)

Have used Bio-tex for years, first on my Gi (karate/judo/jujitsu suit) which always came out briliiantly white compared to others Gi's which had gone 'grey' over time; then used on my daughters clothes when she was young and messy again absolutely brilliant results (soaking first). Still need it WHERE HAS IT GONE?????? Have tried the alternatives Vanish and the plethora of others which claim miracle results but JUST CAN'T DELIVER. The campaign for bringing Bio-tex back has got to start here. (read more)

I also have used biotex for many years as did my mother and grandmother before me. How could a product be around for so long and then disappear. Does anyone know how to get in touch with the people who make this product. (read more)

Have used biotex for years and it is the best. It is said that biotex started disappearing when Vanish promoted itself and made deals to be prominent on supermarket shelves. I enquired at the email address on the biotex packet and no reply. I'm hoping to find it online, but don't have a card. This is not a good situation - it looks like big-money muscle has won again.
