I bought my "Weihrauch HW45 Silverstar" knowing exactly what to expect, quite simply a superb german made air pistol set at just over 5ft lbs.

This pistol is quite heavy and quite large so fitted my hand perfectly, I took a few shots at a target set about 10 mtrs away and ended up altering the sights to suit my style of shooting, I found the trigger to my liking straight out of the box.

The cocking of the pistol is very easy, you pull back the hammer and that releases the pellet tude which allows you to pull this all the way forwards for full power, or halhway for half power, place the pellet into the tube and snap the action shut with a re-assuring click.

The safety is well placed so you are able to set it from either side of the gun, when you fire this air pistol it gives a fair bit of kick back which may take some time to get used too when target shooting.

I found that once you master this recoil (so to speak) you can place pellet ontop of pellet very easily.

This pistol is awesome comes with full power as standard, looks and feels so right, I recommend to anyone who wants a good well built quality air pistol.

Bought mine from new and so glad i didnt get the standard black, and its just a dream makes u feel like a kid with a big smile on your face every time you shoot
aims well nice kick to it
powerful easy to cock
looks fantastic
its the daddy basically dont buy a cheaper gun just save and buy this carnt praise it enougth. and i shoot all air rifles and pistols being in pest control so i know a good gun when i get 1.

I already had the standard hw45 in black but fancied treating myself to the silverstar variant which has laminated grips and a more controlled feel when shooting, although the grip 'shelf' may feel a bit tight to people with large hands.
i would thouroughly reccomend this pistol to anyone, and if you are thinking of purchasing the classic hw45 for few extra pounds the Silverstar takes it to a different level.
