Just a few hours later, I had a call from a very nice young man, who has explained the situation and promised action Asap. Fair enough seems like they are trying to sort things out. “Bad delivery time etc”

Joined the club and ordered an item on 29th June. Item sold out quickly but had ordered mine before this happened, so expected to receive in 3-5 days as promised in their e mail of confirmation. Still waiting for item and club membership pack, 8/7/17. Also ordered more items on 1st July one has arrived, the other I am told by the automated service has been shipped and delivered! I had a bad experience also. I ordered 3 items on the 27th of June my parcel arrived on the 3rd of June. When I saw it I immediately knew something was wrong as it was small for a parcel containing 3 items one of which was a blockbuster kit worth over £100 (although I purchased on sale for £40) when I opened it two of my items were in there plus one small hunkydory little book which I hadn't ordered. Somehow they'd managed to confuse my blockbuster Christmas kit with an everyday book worth £10! I didn't want to pay for a call so I emailed using the email address printed on my order which ended in .co.uk only to later realise it was incorrect and the actual email address ends in .tv! I double checked and it was definitely printed wrong! They seemed more concerned about getting their item back than sending me the one I'd purchased! It still hasn't arrived although I have just received an email this evening to say it has left the warehouse. Why it took a further week when they processed my complaint of the 3rd I have no idea. Surely given their error they would want good customer relations and send my item out faster. They have asked me several times to fill in a review on an item I haven't even received yet! Their site says they have won awards for their great customer service!
Even without this mess up how a leading craft shop can take 3-5 (and in my experience always 5) days just to dispatch an item seems crazy! Big companies like Amazon don't take this long or smaller companies. I do all my craft shopping online and no other company I use takes this long to deliver! Even if I sell anything on eBay I always dispatch within 2 days - and I'm a wheelchair user!
I totally agree won't use them again and definitely won't recommend!
P.S sorry for the rant!

Hi Annie, sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have now received an e mail from them telling me that the item I ordered is being held up because the suppliers are having 'technical problems'. Would I be prepared to wait a bit longer or have a full refund! Guess what my answer was. So fed up with this, I have sent an e mail of complaint to the CEO! Could go on for ages about this, but will not bore you with all the details, now waiting to see how long it takes them to give a full refund. Best of luck to you.

Well folks, who,would have thought it. There are some decent people out there after all. Sometimes it pays to go to the top, which is what I did. I sent an e mail to the CEO of Ideal World explaining the situation and within a couple of hours, had a positive response. One of his staff called me on the phone to clarify things and was very pleasant and understanding . The upshot is, I get my order in the next few days. So next time something makes you mad, go to the boss himself, you don't have to be rude or abusive and it often pays dividends.

Yeah well, seems like my optimism was misplaced. E mail from c and c Thursday saying my order was being sent out that day and ' will be with you shortly'. Here we are Monday , no notification from Hermes to say when it is being delivered, so guess I am going to have another long wait. I feel another message to head office is due!!!

I ordered a product I knew would sell out fairly quickly so I ordered 5 and waited patiently for the order to arrive. Now I'm not sure who dispatched the order C&C or the supplier but I received just two of the five with an invoice for the full five. No apologies no reduction in cost. I had to ring on a 13p a minute phone line to get my money back. Obviously they didn't have any left in stock as it had sold out fairly quickly. “DO NOT USE!!”

I bought a Cutterpillar Crop on Flexipay, which was not fit for purpose. I contacted C& C and they said as I had never returned an item before, they would arrange for it to be collected. It was collected by Hermes who didn't have a tracking number for me. I was told by them that I would get the tracking number from C& C which turned out to be rubbish. Sent several emails about a product availability date, was promised email but still waiting, product now showing as sold out. Why launch something new without having much stock, and why is it so difficult to find out date for more stock being available. Very poor communication and service, sent 3 emails and still waiting for a reply. Ordered item which was out of stock, promised email when back in stock, still waiting and item is now available. Very slow delivery service. I only use if I really cannot get item elsewhere, such a shame as it could be a good service run properly. “Like the curate's egg - good in parts!”

Create & Craft occasionally has some good offers but sometimes I can find better prices elsewhere. Delivery is often slow, and expensive. Many companies offer free p&p for larger orders - not C&C. I have suffered on several occasions from incomplete, damaged or undelivered orders. In those cases Customer Service has been absolutely useless. A £5 voucher to spend later is no compensation for non-delivery of a Limited Edition Winnie the Pooh die, now out of stock! How did they manage to receive… Read Full Review

The reason they got voted for Best Customer Service, which I might add I do not believe for one second, is that they never accept any bad reviews, from anyone. I know this because they did it to me. Its disgusting the way they operate, I stopped buying from them a couple of years ago because of the way they treated me. I know several people that have had bad experiences with them. Never again!!!

“Missing Order”

Create and Craft is very very poor about delivering your order. You can wait for weeks to get your order, if you get it at all. Many times I have placed my order (and paid for it) only to have my money refunded weeks later because they were out of stock. I ordered a few products for my Wife, for some reason the billed me 4 times. I called them up to see what was happening but was told 'Nothing to do with us' you ordered 4 times. I DID NOT, luckily I have the original email order confirmation which clearly shows a quantity of ONE. “Missing parcel 'has been delivered'!! ... NOT TO ME!!”

I recently purchased the Accuquilt and some dies, happy with the price and product but once you have placed your order the systems are terrible. You receive an e-mail to tell you your item has been despatched but no idea when it will be delivered ! Having ordered many products in the past I have never been disappointed with the products... when I finally receive them! Hermes is a bad company. Product go missing, claim the can't deliver, deliver to wrong address and IF they arrive the box is battered.
