Bought this dirt devil initially because of size and value for money but have had problems ever since! Very noisy, needs emptying after one room (only live in a very small flat, no pets!). So now I have been trying to get the spare filter for months. The filter clogs so easily and is really difficult to clean. Since I lost the second filter (it never dried properly and started smelling), I tried to get a replacement. No support whatsoever from Dirt Devil. Rubbish customer service, just said... (read more)

in my opinion this Dirt Devil is not of merchantable quality.It is sold as a cleaner but it dosen,t clean,as soon as you use it the filter clogs up rendering it useless.I,m going to try and get a refund good size bad performance

The Dirt Devil DDCYL5 is easy to carry but perhaps not the best for a family home as needs to be emptied quite often. Hose not stretchy so awkquard to hoover stairs. Noisy too. I don`t like this vacuum cleaner for the above reasons (read more)

My Dirt Devil DDCYL5 worked fine at first but filter cloggs almost immediately. These filter can be cleaned - very awkward.
A loud, useless machine - dont waste you money.
