“I love Hollister!”

Written on: 15/10/2012 by UnhappyClient26 (5 reviews written)

What's not to love? The clothes are great & of really good quality.I wish they would have a few more colours though. I just can't stand the hordes of screaming teenage girls, spending 20 minutes deciding to buy or not to buy exactly the same top they are already wearing while oggling every male that passes nearby. “Weird Shop, Nice Fitting Clothes”

Written on: 13/07/2012 by GeraldH (7 reviews written)

The shop is so weird, it feels like a nightclub. The music is quite loud and it's so dark! The only other shop like it is, obviously, Abercrombie. The clothes themselves are great. They look good and have a great fit for an athletic build. The only problem is that the do tend to stretch and look less good after a few washes. I kind of see Hollister as "Abercrombie light" - meaning that it's a cheaper, watered down version of Abercrombie. The clothing is more affordable, but it is also... (read more)

“clothing doesn't look great for long!”

Written on: 04/07/2012 by cocoitr (5 reviews written)

Clothing from Hollister only looks good a few times it never come out the wash looking the same! Tshirts are the worst for fading and bobbling! Staff are very fake and forced! I do love the smell of the shop and some clothes are reasonable prices! Having the lights so dark is annoying and really need air con on when it busy as it get so hot! Also changing room staff are to busy talking to each other about the weekend making the sue move very slow! (read more)

“turn the lights on!”

Written on: 26/06/2012 by nualabear (4 reviews written)

Hollister is quite an experience. You go in, feel slightly sorry for the male model by the shop door - clearly there for the purpose of putting up gawking teenage girls (why don't they have female models, would that be sexist?) Then when you go in, you can't see anything really. I don't know why a chain thinks that its a good idea to have clothes that you have to squint at and hold up to the sparse lamps to see if they're nice. You'd think that they didn't want you to buy their... (read more)

“Zero costomer service in uk”

Written on: 29/09/2011

I bought a cream cardigan for £40 from the Norwich store, after the first wash (at 30 degrees) the colour went patchy, we complained in store but the manager refused to leave his mood lit store to look and fobbed me off with a complaints email address, i tried this but no got reply, and found another on their website. I emailed this and got a reply asking for more info, after sending 3 more emails with attached images, which were replied to, all we got was a refusal to overule the store... (read more)

I too, am surprised at the lack of reviews for Hollister clothing - although this may be down to review centre being a better documentation of negative reviews. This is a review of the website rather than the physical shops.

I bought about £120 worth of clothing on the Hollister 2 weeks ago, overall amounting to £25 shipping and handling. Not bad considering it is coming from America and they cover all of the import tax/customs charges on their behalf, but also considering they have a large... (read more)

The first time I went into Hollister I was mesmerized - they really put everything into the shopping experience: the interior/exterior, layout, plants, seating, TVs...! And the clothes? Oh, the clothes!

But it's just what they stand for that gets me. They will only employ young, slim, typically attractive people and stand for stereotyped, high-status 'cool'. So, I find the shop to be quite shallow, and it also has a conceited or arrogant air about it - it knows it's 'the best'! It's quite... (read more)

Surprised to see no reviews about this. An excellent shop that matches both the experience and great clothes better than any other store. A knowledgeable set of staff who know about the clothes and do look good in them.

Brilliant layout and theme to the store with the dark lights and loud music gives and experience like no other. Extra seating area is great when you need a rest whilst waiting for people to try things on and also whilst you wait for them to stand in the sometimes long queue... (read more)
