I would not recommend anyone to buy any Philips TV. So far this year we have been without our TV for 14 weeks thanks to 2 screen failures and are still waiting. The screens (and other parts?) are not kept in the UK and take weeks/months to be sent to repairers. The replacement screens have only 28 days warranty. I did receive a reply to my initial complaint which stated that the reason parts are not stocked in the UK is because the TVs are not made here. Personally I don't think that they should be allowed to sell them here if they don't want to provide any service.
We were perfectly happy with the TV until it broke down as we were with previous Philips TVs and DVD players but we will not buy anything else from Philips and would advise every one else likewise.
