    There is no doubting that the Seabourn Odyssey is one of the world's most luxurious cruise ships. Our penthouse suite was superb and the public rooms modern and well designed although most of these were aft of the ship and quite a distance from staterooms on the top decks at the bow. However, despite many excellent attributes, some regular Seabourn customers might, like us,still prefer the cosy and more intimate ambiance of the smaller yachts. It would be churlish to say that this cruise was not enjoyable, the cuisine in the main restaurant was as good as any top class shoreside establishment even if the lido style offerings at the Collanade restaurant were predictable and less exciting. One small gripe was that the super slick service by a well trained young staff sometimes came across as being a little too condescending. Nice experience but back to the Seabourm Legend/Pride/Spirit for us.
