+ Good 10mp camera with a variety of features (this is why I purchased the phone in the first place)
+ Easy to use (I especially like the ease of sony ericsons)
+ Built in wi-fi connectivity
- Too bulky
- BROKEN speaker after less than 6 months (same with others I knew with the phone)
- Although good camera, xenon flash makes people look orange or hair look different colours than normal
- Bad network coverage with Orange (sometimes no signal or just one... (read more)

This handset should come with a health warning!
My excitement at being in receipt of this all singing, all dancing 8.1MP camera phone was short lived. Six weeks after entering an 18month contract with the 3 Network through the high street store Phones4U, the ear piece stopped working rendering the phone element useless so it was returned to Phones4U who refused to replace it because it had exceeded the 6 weeks they give for a full refund and so it went to be repaired, I had afterall... I've had the c905 for about 9 months. In my expireince it is a very good handset with more than enough features for myself. The camera is excellent and simple to use, more importantly the lens has a slide cover which protects it from scratching. It has a large screen which is big enough to watch films etc on. Battery life is resonable and all functions are used easily.
All this and it fits easily into a pocket!! (read more)

I am coming to the end of an 18 month contract with the C905. I love this phone and wish sony erricson would make a newer smaller version. I have had to send it back a few times due to faults but was replaced within a day. The camera is amazing, very easy to work. It fits into my pocket easily. Battery life isnt a problem as i charge it every night. Sound is good from speakers, good quality screen, good size buttons. Never had problem with it freezing. Best phone i have had. (read more)

I waited a year and half to get this phone, and I finally got it less than half of the original price. That was fine. My speakers are still good; camera, perfect. Most prominent problem after two months of purchase and immediately after first update was difficulties in charging; completely annoying. It just wouldn't charge, making me feel like my charger is bad, when I have two more chargers from previous phones. I have to depend on the USB wire, before sending it in for repairs. Secondly... I have a c905, was pretty cool the first time, 2 months after my speakers went dud. i had to send for repairs and took another 2 months to get it.
-speakers a dud.
-battery life a dud.
-key pads a dud.
i would never recommend this to a anyone. unless you just want it for it's camera which is a bad idea. you could just buy a generic digital camera with a cheaper price than buying this C905. thanks a lot sony (read more)

Hi, i have got the pink C905 and at first i was in love with it and i thought i would be quite happy to keep it until my contract was up. i actually referred it to a friend who did end up getting the black C905. However i wish i had not because about a month after i brought it the speaker went and about a week later my friends black one lost its speaker as well. so it was not just a one off from my phone. Also the cancel button is not working and no damaged has happened to my phone and... (read more)

I got a Sony Ericsson c905 in Nov 2008 as my bday gift. It have a stunning look with 8.1 megapixel Camera. But unfortunately its one of the worst models I have ever seen. Its not been an year old piece but it needed service for every 1month duration. So it was in the service centre for more period rather than with me. I just got irritated with its functionality. The re-sale value is also tooooo low where as the piece was damn expensive. C905 SUCKS. Guys I advice all not to go for this model... (read more)

when i first saw the Sony Ericsson C905, it looked amazing with its small compact size casing. its a very light phone although it deos feel like your carrying nothing in your pockets, so you may feel like you lost your phone for those who are paranoid. Apart from this, the features of this pohne are incredible and is a phone to have.

Sony Ericsson C905 is a very stylish and well put together phone. The camera and videos are excellent, and it is very easy to use. I didn't have any issues with battery life, and found the internet was pretty decent and quick.
Unfortunately I have had a number of problems and am on my 3rd replacement, which is suffering from the same problem. Doesn't pick up signal where other phones do, and will not make calls even when showing signal sometimes. I have tried the sim card in my K700i which... (read more)

Got the Sony Ericsson C905 phone as free upgrade from O2. Really excited about its camera which is really good.
When it comes to SE phones I have great experience with K800i which was working horse as for phone. I can not however say that about C905 as its battery dies after two days. Phone is not even used so I am assuming It dies within a day if I use it.
It has got WIFI which is helpful but I can not get GPS to work as it persistently tries to connect the network. Ok if at home , not so... (read more)

The Sony Ericsson C905 is a breath of fresh air after owning a LG Viewty with its awkward navigation and over rated touch screen. This phone is great , came with 8gb memory stick ,has excellent battery life and camera, best of all

You take your first picture and instantly you notice the superlative image quality, image processing and optics make me think the Sony Ericsson C905 is a camera with a phone attached.
The usual SE refinements all work here and couple that with the Vodafone network (which really is the best I have ever used) means that this camera is my star rated choice.
Normally when I buy a phone I go for the feel of it and it's ability to make calls and keyboard quality (for texting). It's a membrane... (read more)

I must say I like the sonys, my last three have been all been sonys. The c905 like the ones it replaces is stylish & reliable. I have had no issues with this mobile and its now 3 or 4 months old. Its got a fantastic camera, decent mp3 & video player also with everything else we now come to expect on a phone. The slide is smooth and robust compared to its nokia rivals. The only think I can fault it on it the battery life, it can catch you out if your sending a lot of emails or using the... (read more)

I have had several diffierent makes of mobile since 1993 including Sony Ericsson mobile phones since the T610 & the C905 is the worst mobile I have ever had.
The ear piece unit breaks on early models, so you cant hear your call, so it has to go away to be fixed.
The key pads can collapse so you cant press certain buttons correctly.
Early phones can refuse to acknowledge your sim card, so yes
I would NOT advise anyone to buy (as I did) or upgrade to one of these. (read more)

Generally all over a good phone containing awesome camera futures and nice looks with the traditional sony ericsson everybody knows menu. Got M2 external memory possibilities which offers up to 8 gb!
Gets minus on the lack of new ideas and the fact that they have not found a better stereo input that fits better in to the phone and doesnt get broken to often.
As i said all over its a 9/10... great add from sony. I would dear to say its a must buy. (read more)

I may have had a bad apple in the batch but I thought the phone was very overrated even if it had worked. Camera cover. In the last two weeks I have been through two! The camera slider is very swish as when you slide the cover down, the plate below drops down into a recess. Then pops back up as you close the camera. I have had two where the cover stays stuck down. Not impressed.
If only sony stuck to the tried and tested camera cover. Yes it may not be flush to the back of the phone, but it ALWAYS worked.
Two phones in two weeks is very poor! I do not recommend Sony Ericsson C905. (read more)

GPS / Camera / Screen / Build Quality / Auto OS updates.
Occasional crashes - mine is an early handset. Battery life when using GPS / camera, but to be expected I guess... A little on the heavy side..
However I do love my new phone!
Very happy with the phone - negatives are minor compared to whole package. Therefore I well recommend the Sony Ericsson C905. (read more)

Wow - this Sony Ericsson C905 is amazing. Had it one day got home from work and before I realised it had forgotten to have dinner and it was 10.30. It looks fabulous the slide action is perfect and the camera is better than the stand alone digital camera I bought last year. It is packed full of features including GPS and frankly it is without doubt the best phone I have owned.
