Original transformer ran very hot after a couple of hours continuous use so felt it was becoming a safety issue, (so much for manufacturers product accessory suitability testing). Now using an old Tandy stabilised 1000 mv multi-voltage transformer set at 7.5 volt. Performs ok now but audio breaks down above level 8. one plus point, Beach wood finish matches bedroom decor!

Acoustic Solutions PD2 - All capacitors inside have blown because the 6VDC power adapter
provides nicely oscillating 15 volts. The supply unit gets very hot
and I was concerned about the risk of fire from it. (read more)

“Pretty good value for money, looks good, very easy to...”

Pretty good value for money, looks good, very easy to use. Not particularly good sound quality (clear, but no real bass), feels cheap. A good buy if you just want a DAB radio - perfect for use in kitchens and bedrooms. Well recommend Acoustic Solutions PD2. (read more)
