The Nikon SB-24 Speedlight is built like TANK. Battery consumptions very low. Flash output was superb. Colour temperature just right. Owned the flash for more than 7 years. Never need servicing or replacement of flash tube. Still using it happily. It's a WORKHORSE.

Extremely pleased with this good s/h unit - have only used manual guns in the past, this one takes all the guess work out and gives you the chance to make accurately exposed 'grab' shots.

Perfect solution for the owners of the F801 SLR Body and CPU lenses by Nikon and Sigma/Tamron.
TTL calibration and popwer balance is absolutely perfect.
Many advanced features and big power output for far(up 20meters) lightings. Automatic Fill-in TTL control.
Professional object but really easy to use and great results.

I've had the pleasure of owning and using two. One with an F801 and one with an F90. On the whole the results are excellent but I've been let down several times by dodgy internal electrics on both units which result in the power turning off unexpectedly. Only thing that brings it back is twisting the head side to side. One unit has recently packed up entirely, though it has seen rather heavy use, from fashion shows to sports photography. Fill flash is excellent and result have been faultles ...

Good zoom, precise system, features everything you need... Has been doing good with Nikon FE (manualy), with Nikon F401 (TTL), and with Okympus C3000Z (auto). As powerfull as my Metz 45, a good unit that I bought second-hand, and I still use professionally...

Despite the fact that the best integrated speedlight for the F90x is the SB26, the SB24 responds to all the camera controls such as auto zoom head on manual adjustment of zoom lens. The only feature I lack is the anti-redeye which doesnt do that much anyway in my opinion. Much better to avoid red-eye in other ways.
