    Good Points: Laundry is really clean!


    Bad Points: Faulty and unreliable after just a few months use. (This is the 2nd Zanussi I've had that has had problems).


    General comments: After just a few months of using this Zanussi-Electrolux ZJ1218 (Family of 3 so not too much washing) it has been playing up. It was an expensive machine compared to most other brands of the same specification and I expected a quality product!

    Stops mid cycle, misses out the rinse stage, drains but not fully, then doesn't spin and door then won't open. Doesn't happen every time or on any particular program, just now and again therefore it is hard to pinpoint what is going on. I then have to cancel the entire program and start again on another quick program without detergent, just to get it rinsed and spun. It then seems to go through the program fine and may not happen again for a few washes.

    The last Zanussi I had started to do exactly the same thing but it was 5 years old and had quite a lot of use as my daughter was a baby when I first got it. Eventually it packed in altogether so I threw it out.

    Now though, I would not go for another Zanussi machine again as they are unreliable. It does clean the clothes extremely well but the programs are really long so this probably has something to do with that.

    There are features where you can shorten the washing times, such as a quick wash button to reduce any of the available temperature washes, as well as a designated quick cycle (45 mins).

    1200 spin speed option, so it does spin well (most of the time) but again I find this a bit hit and miss as sometimes the washing comes out wetter than other times even though the same spin speed was selected and roughly the same weight of load?

    Summary: Really clean laundry, but temperamental and unreliable machine!
