    Good Points: Large hotel, Clean, relatively cheap, well known in Mestre. 25 minutes from the airport. Breakfast included in price.


    Bad Points: The hotel is basic, the rooms are clean and roomy, but consist of a bed, a shower and WC and a wash hand basin - no frills! The views from the window (either side of the building) are either into someones back yard (complete with washing, dogs and screaming kids!) or the very busy main road. Breakfast is...interesting....Danish pastry with hard boiled eggs and the worst coffee you have ever had in your life!


    General comments: Situated in Mestre - a little village 15 minutes outside of central Venice - a fabulous town square 10 minutes walk through the main shopping area (fab shops!) where you can eat and drink until 2am outside with the locals - fabulous little place - much better than central Venice for friendliness and value for money. The hotel after all is simply somewhere to sleep - no entertainment of lounge area, just an upmarket B&B.
    Don't go in August - many of the shops are closed as everyone goes away on their holidays in August,
