    General comments: The worst experience ever and it happened on my wedding night!
    My husband checked in the morning of our wedding, had an aperitif with our guests and we got married in a beautiful Venetian setting walking distance to this hotel. At one o'clock in the morning we arrived at Villa Franceschi still with our wedding clothes and the staff would not let us in the room as we did not have our passport with us!!!!!???? We explained to the them that we checked-in the same morning and how could we possibly have our passports with us on the night of our wedding? We promised we were going to bring them first thing in the morning but no instead the male receptionist started to shouts at us trying to throw us out of the property in a very aggressive manner. He then locked himself in the office and would not come out anymore. Leaving us alone in the reception area. We asked if we could have our luggage back (that was in the bedroom already) but he would not come out of his office to the point that we had to call the police. The Italian police were really helpful and told us that this is not the first time that guests had terrible experience in this Hotel. There are a lot of beautiful hotel in this area do not book in here.
