I am a big fan of L'Oreal products, but won't be using Excel 10 again. I don't use it all over my head but try to integrate a grey patch into my own hair colour. This product came out much more auburn/red than the picture, and much darker. However, it still didn't cover the grey. I tried leaving it on for 20 mins but although it coloured the grey, it still didn't cover it. A big disappointment - colour is wrong and it still doesn't do what it is supposed to.

i thought this was the best hair colour i have ever tried, i wouldn't dream of trying any other hair colour now. i made the move from an extremly light blonde to a gorgeous chocolate brown, the colour has stayed beautifully unlike all the other times i have attempted this when after 3 washes my hair looked like a horrid dirty blonde.
i have now gone even darker with the natural darkest brown, the shine on my hair is amazing, it's silky soft i love it!!

This product is awful, turned my brown hair dark black and the box said medium brown and now I am losing hair like crazy. I have used Feria for years and have never had problems I tried this product because my normal Feria color was out what a BIG mistake.

I havent dyed my home dyes for many yrs because my hair is naturally black and requires bleaching for hightlights. And I'm doing it now to try and get my fade outs all in one tone with the rest of my hair before I get another sent of bleaching done in a few months.

Anyway, I've just coloured it and if u are trying to go lighter I wouldnt recommend this box. I got the spiced brown ( med brown) and all my hair has turned very dark brown. If it was a few shares light it would be more ideal but as ...

    I love L'Oreal products....face products are wonderful. I have used L'Oreal
hair color products, the kits too for highlighting. Perfect 10 is NOT one of them...something went wrong in the lab for the process of the color...I usually go light brown or medium golden ....well, I chose Medium Golden and
ended up with darkest brown, I used baby shampoo, oils, andything to get it
to drop some shades...never washed my hair so much....I liked the shine, but
the color was like a black shoepolish.....too ...

I am a seventy year old with lots of grey hair, especially at the temples. My natural hair colour is mid-brown and I have for a long time wanted a rich auburn colour, which I eventually achieved after using Loreal Excell 10 shade Dark Blonde. The brown shade I used resulted in my hair being too dark, but this is just perfect and so easy to use. If insructions are followed properly there is no mess, I just love Loreal Excell 10, and 10 minutes colouring time...... wonderful.

This product is beyond awful. I bought it in dark brown, and unlike the shiny brown color on the box, my hair is a dull, blue-ish black. It looks awful. I've seen better looking results from the black hairspray that comes with Halloween costumes.

Also, the applicator was impossible to use correctly and I got hair dye all over my floor.

this was the WORST hair colourant I have ever used!!! The bottle shape is terrible and the hole is too big. It also is the wrong shape to make partings in your hair to do the regrowth. I was a hairdresser for 10 years and have been home colouring my hair for at least 8 years and this was terrible. I had the stuff everywhere. I would have liked to know not to buy it!

LOreal Excell 10 turned my honey blonde hair into a chocolate hersey bar brown. The color I had selected was their cool ash blonde but it made my hair very dark brown. It was awful. Ended up at Sally Beauty Supply for Color Zap remover which did gently remove it all and actually returned my hair to a nice golden blonde so I never recolored following this disaster. My advice, do not purchase this product.

I have used L'Oreal and other major hair color brands and have never experienced a problem -- that is, until this past Sunday, when I used L'Oreal's new ten-minute hair color. What a mess! As usual, I rinced (and rinced) my hair, and when I toweled it dry, noticed a burgundy color on the towel. No big deal, I thought, and got back into the shower and rinced (and rinced) again. After the shower, I towel-dried again, and noticed faint color on the towel. Got back into the shower and actually ha ...

Beware of this loreal excell 10 colour! I am a hairdresser and i have never seen so many colours turn wrong with this product. It typically almost goes black with any of the brunette shades. I think it is very strong to develop and cover grey in 10 mins, so if it takes you a while to get the colour applied to your hair, forget it. It has now become predictable when a client comes in and they have coloured their hair at home and it's turned out way to dark - I can tell them they have used Excel ...

I'm naturally a dark blonde and am sensing a trend, since I just coloured my hair with LOreal Excell 10 Dark Blonde and have come out a disgusting dark brown with an orange/red tinge. First thing in the morning I'm going out to buy something to try and fix this mess.

I tried the LOreal Excell 10 light ash blonde shade - have used L'Oreal before with no problems. Horror! I went from my my semi-natural light blonde to a mucky dark brown colour. Not wishing to damage my hair by using something else I concentrated on the garden for a week! Oddly my daily hair wash restored my hair to its natural colour by then. So much for "permanent" too. Wish that I had met someone who had used the stuff before I did and I would have probably had an idea of what might hap ...

Words can not express how disgusted I am at this product. I have been using hair color all my life and never had a bad experience until I tried this one for the first time. I too chose the medium reddish brown.. a color I have always used in Loreal, but it was NO WHERE close to what I used before. My hair is almost black with this hideous reddish cranberry color that is horrible. I really don't know how to "fix" this mess, makes me sick!!! With all the bad reviews and problems, they seriously ne ...

Ok first when it says ten minutes it really means ten minutes. So that part I like. BUT I used the medium brown and like another person said it turned my hair almost black. Previous to using Loreal 10 min I used Perfect 10 med brown with great colour results. I figured I would get near to the same colour but I was wrong. I only bought it because it was on sale and now I have to live with dark dark hair for a long time. I am hoping it will fade at least a little cause no way when my roots come n ...

I've been using Loreal products for years and have loved all of them -- from the light shades of blond to the warm tones of red. Now that Fall is just around the corner, I decided to go with a warmer tone and elected to try the 10 minute reddish brown hair color. Although my hair now looks healthier and shinier, I was shocked to see the purplish red color that Crayola hasn't even found a name for yet! I've washed it several times in two days and while the brightness is fading, the color is not ...

Having used Loreal Products for years, was disappointed with results of excell 10. Using the medium reddish brown, the results were awfull. The results were very dark and almost a shade of cranberry. Had to have a professional tone it down! The color way different than the color panel.

I will go back to the better products like Excellence Loreal.

I will not use the product again based on these results.

I've been using L'Oreal hair dyes for years to keep my black hair. I ususally use Recital but tried the Excell 10 in black-which was actually quite expensive.

After using it, I could see where the roots were lighter that the rest of my black hair! For at least a week loads of hair dye came out when I washed my hair and I ended up staining several pillowcases!

This has NEVER happened to me with any other hair colour. Three weeks later and it's totally faded so I'm going to have to dye it again ...
