Good Points: Large Caravan with large Fridge freezer. Plenty of Space in Main bedroom. Plenty of crockery & cutlery
Bad Points: Terrible path ways which were not easy to walk on - loose pebbles. Tree cutting from 8.30am for 2 days. No apologies for this and it was a very hot time so either put up with noise or was too hot in caravan. No site map and not shown facilities. Garden area had large manhole raised above grass. Decor in caravan very dated. Flounces and bows everywhere Harsh maroon bedlinen with yellow based curtaining and salmon pink carpet everywhere except in the kitchen where the floor squeaked wherever you trod. Only one person to do gardening and maintenance and he was over-worked on this 11 acre site. While tree cutting main route unavailable and diversion took you close to touring van pitches with children right next to route. Bar in high season when we went was supposed to be open from 12 but was open at 7pm. It was very hot in there when we went in even with fans & air-conditioners.
General comments: There seemed to be no concern whether we knew the site or could get round it easily. The trees that were cut down - and the noise was continuous each day from 08.30 to about 16.00 - were to gain more sites for the caravans and this meant moving the road over. Dreadful to walk round and some of the equipment was broken or unavailable. I was told the maintenance man had left the previous week and this left the gardener doing his own work and the maintenance. We were there for a short break Mon - Fri and we went home on Thurs - our choice- as I had had enough of the continual noise. The outside light on our caravan was never fixed so if we had come back were very late then it would have been a challenge seeing the way in.
